Michael Cohen, the once loyal lawyer of former President Donald Trump, had been cashing in on the ex-president’s hush money trial by discussing the case on nightly TikTok livestreams — something legal experts warn may spoil his credibility as a key witness.
Ahead of taking the witness stand, Cohen has earned money through donations made by viewers of his nightly live streams, during which he has discussed Trump, the ongoing trial, and the testimony, according to hours of streams viewed by ABC News.
“Trump 2024?” Cohen said during a live stream last Tuesday. “More like Trump 20-40 years.”
While Cohen’s actions don’t go against any court order, experts told ABC it would likely hurt his credibility as an essential witness in the case.
“I’d be furious,” said ABC News contributor and former Georgia prosecutor Chris Timmons. “As a prosecutor, the last thing you want your witness to do is to be talking about the case in a forum other than the courtroom.”

Isn’t the judge’s daughter basically doing the same thing: moneymaking off of the Trump case?
Kind of exposes Judge Merchan, that he allows everybody to say what they want about Trump - even his daughter, to make money off it - but Trump is gagged.
Just what you’d expect in a turd world country like New York.
The case is about power, money and fame. Everything but justice. What a mockery of our legal system on so many levels. Trump is gagged yet his accusers can reach the globe without rebuttal.
It’s not like he’s Giuliani with mounds of actual evidence . . .

It won’t matter since this isn’t related to the law anyways. The dye has been cast and Trump is going to be convicted. The only saving grace is that Cohen is a plant and Trump sent him out years ago in order to get him to NY where Trump would spend months campaigning and Cohen will, at the last minute, deliver Trump a moment where he says, “I made the whole thing up to see if I can get a Jury to convict him on complete BS and this idiot jury is about to fall for it”. MAYBE if he says that on the stand and that ultimately leads to Trump being found innocent and then taking New York as a result we can say Trump planned this all out.
Since it’s not a violation, the Judge really has no cause. However Trump’s attorney should have a field day once he can cross.

What an idiot this writer is. Cohn has no credibility to start with. He has already been convicted of perjury .
This also shows the corruptness of this judge to allow Cohn to influence the jury, the cited reason he put a gag order on Trump. This ethicless judge should be nowhere near a courtroom let alone be presiding over a case.
But it is rather extraordinary that the judge puts a gag order on the defendant and threatens to send him to jail if he violates it, when there are no restrictions on people who defame the defendant. Meanwhile the jury is not sequestered so they are exposed to all the negative opinions being expressed in the press or social media or on TV.
Your average guy would say he has no credibility in the first place. But then the jurors are not exactly average, any more than the prosecutors or judge is average.
It’s clearly a kangaroo court.
