You wonder why the left is having a nervous breakdown in the wake of Trump's election? It is because, for them, politics is the means to secular salvation. I was in undergrad from ‘99-’03, and grad from ‘06-’07. I was coming out of lecture the morning the towers came down, and I can remember how the *very next day* there were a-holes in the Student Union Building handing out hurriedly-photocopied leaflets saying how 9-11 was an “inside job” perpetrated by Mossad. I would say that 9-12 was the REAL start of the current trend to demonise and dehumanise Jews (which was really just the oldest and most stalwart of all hatreds suddenly becoming “acceptable”). Likewise, ground-zero for the current Anti-Semitism trend was 2005 at the University of Toronto, and York University, when Israeli Apartheid Week (IAW) and Boycott-Divest-Sanction (BDS) got their start. It has all just snowballed since then, and spread like the cancer it is.
