Former Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan (R), candidate for the state’s U.S. Senate seat, said in an interview that aired Sunday that he did not have a “burning desire” to be senator but was compelled to run for the seat because of the “broken” system.
“I still don’t have any burning desire to be a senator. I wasn’t looking for a title. I don’t need a job. But I’m just so frustrated with how broken our political system is,” Hogan said in an interview with CNN’s Melanie Zanona.
Hogan was a late entry into the race, which has picked up steam now that Hogan’s popularity put the solidly blue seat in jeopardy for Democrats.

The very definition of a RINO…. But in Maryland one must be. If he doesn’t really want a Senate seat he won’t get one.
I doubt many here have a burning desire to see this fat pig in the Senate.
Yet he’s running…..
He might vote Republican from time to time.
True Republican. A real one doesn’t think much of government.
And this Marylander doesn’t want you to be in the Senate for Maryland, Larry— or anywhere in the state, for that matter.

Lost my job during Covid.
Trone helped me get unemployment payment after 5 months of not even to be able to get through to the Maryland Unemployment Agency. That was his job!
(And it was cancelled 4 months later and then his office never returned my calls.)
Hogan is Trone 2.0. Maybe more!

Hogan would be worse than a dim in that seat. He would undercut Republicans at every opportunity. He is despicable.

He the only republican with even a slim chance of winning in Maryland. I know everyone wants 60 conservative senators only but until that happens, I like the idea of trump getting his judges through.
Awwww, how the heartstrings are tugged! He wasn't looking for fame and fortune, but golly gee, SOMEBODY has to DO something for "our system"!

Don’t worry, Larry, it doesn’t look like based on current polls you will have to worry about it. Only at 44% even with his “popularity” and against lesser known possible opponents.

That’s going to get used in a campaign ad.
On a couple of things like tax cuts.
He’s not my choice either.
