Please give me the particulars on this experiment with transportation and Hydrogen. Our State is getting into the business of it, subsidizing it anyway, which means they are wasting money, and filling their own pockets. I would appreciate some links that would educate me. Thanks ten18

The other scam is drilling for hydrogen. I drilled oil and gas wells for nearly 4 decades in most of the major basins of the world, never once found hydrogen. There was that one time one of the service companies dreamed up a light weight cement and didn't tell us the active ingredient was hydrogen. When we drilled it up it liberated the gas as it got to surface and we sent it down the flare line. Thing is, hydrogen has a flame propagation velocity exceeding the flow rate velocity in our line. The flames came back up the flare line and then blew the bushings out of the rotary table.

There may be some hydrogen in the erf but I've never seen it. If we did we would have known about it the hard way.

Now it’s some bozo with a web ad that has connected a motor to an alternator with a V-belt and spins it to ‘start’ with a drill!

Changes everything?

Yeah, the way that Steve Jobs said the Segway would revolutionize the way we design cities.

Don’t know what’s changed. But something definitely has.

or maybe he’s wrong or maybe what you said is what he wants people to believe to raise money.

Who knows until there is a public announcement that Musk’s people have made 2 or 3 breakthroughs in applied theoretical physics and materials science.

In his current Tesla production, 170 parts were reduced to 2 parts.

He has severely disrupted auto design and production

It was the cloth and dope that burned. Not the gas.

I had an infomercial from Musk’s organization announcing something major last night, but lost patience with the hype and just left it open ‘til this morning. My wife wanted to watch a movie, so shut it off without realizing it was the “chance of a lifetime,” etc. So I still don’t know if this is a breakthrough with hydrogen power or what. I’ll hear about it by’n’by, I guess.

I couldn’t find any articles on the fueling station per se, but here’s one on the buses:

https://www.mercurynews.com/2008/02/25/vta-finds-hydrogen-buses-cost-much-more-to-run-than-diesel-vehicles/amp/

It’s difficult to find anything other than glowing reports on these government boondoggles.

I’d have to research the precise details but in any event hydrogen is a flammable gas.

Thanks for that, I know that the reports are glowing PRE institution of the plan. Wait until they get rid of the diesel busses, and buy the new 40% more expensive E busses. Sunshine, lollipops and Rainbows for all.

Water engine on the move for the first time in history: breaks power records and is better than hydrogen

This??

Port Fuel Injection or PFI inserts traditional water into the engine’s air intake system, preventing premature ignition that could damage the component and achieves stoichiometric combustion. Translated, this means that the resulting air-fuel ratios are more or less fixed.

...makes it a WATER engine?

Makes me wonder what kind of engine would use DEF?

An explosive gas.
Not a fast burning gas.
