As State Spends Millions for Migrants, Immigration Becomes Top Colorado Election Issue

A recent poll finds that the issue of illegal immigration has become a top election issue in Colorado as the state drowns in tens of millions spent on freebies for Joe Biden’s illegal border crossers.

A statewide poll of Colorado voters shows that Joe Biden’s border crisis is weighing heavily on the minds of Coloradans.

The poll, conducted by the Colorado Polling Institute, quizzed 632 likely voters in the Centennial State on what they feel are the most important issues of the 2024 election, the Denver Gazette reported.

Kinda ironic considering most of the people who live in Colorado now weren’t born in Colorado.

About half of the 40,295 migrants who have arrived in Denver since December 2022 have stayed in city-funded hotel rooms, while the other half chose to continue on to other cities across the country.

July 12, 2022 — The 2021 law signed by Gov. Jared Polis makes available state benefits, including dental care, mental health counseling and family services.


As of 2025, income-eligible children who are undocumented immigrants will also be eligible for Medicaid/CHP+. Pregnant women: Up to 200% of FPL to qualify for Medicaid.

Refugees and asylees are eligible for all welfare benefits for the first seven years they reside in the U.S., after which their eligibility is greatly reduced.

In Colorado, they may qualify for state rent assistance programs regardless of status. Colorado Coalition for the Homeless website.
