If Russia is upset about NATO expansion, perhaps it should not have acted in a way that incentivized the eastern European countries to seek the protection of the NATO umbrella.
The problem the FR war pigs don’t, or won’t see is that it does not matter if we are stronger than Russia. What matters is that they, and Iran, and China believe our weak leadership will not respond to an attack with total war. They may even believe a crippling attack will fold our government.
If MAD no longer applies and our southern border admits terrorists and materials we are no longer in a position to antagonize enemies without fear of retribution. On the current path the question is when, not if we are attacked.
I would answer, we are not in confrontation, but if that is what you are looking for, it is your decision.

NATO has been pushing for open war with Russia since the collapse of the USSR.
The world would have been a much better and safer place if NATO had been disbanded when the USSR ceased to exist.
If VP Biden and Nuland and Co. had been willing to let Ukraine stay neutral, and not be pushing for it to join NATO, it is very possible none of this would be happening.

Russia is 30 times bigger than Ukraine, is throwing artillery 10 to 1 on Ukraine, while suffering 5 times mores casualties than the Ukrainians... All this for two years.... and Russia is gaining nothing, just a few yards here and there... it’s going nowhere....
This alone makes Russia look weak. The Russian weakness is exasperated to such a level that it makes some in US Congress believe Ukraine doesn’t need Western ammunition anymore! But THAT is a miscalculation!
Because Russia is still capable of hitting civilian housing and infrastructure in Ukraine. Just like any cheap islamic terrorist groups do.
Defending civilians against terrorism requires ammunition.
