Civil rights attorney and talk radio host Robert Patillo plans to run against Fulton Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee, who has been overseeing the high-profile election interference case against former President Donald Trump and others.
Patillo plans to qualify as a candidate for the position on Thursday, according to multiple people with knowledge who declined to speak on the record. He is the former executive director of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition, the social justice and civil rights group founded by Rev. Jesse Jackson. He’s also a criminal defense attorney, cable news pundit and a former candidate for statehouse who has previously billed himself as a conservative Democrat.
McAfee, a former Fulton and federal prosecutor, is running for a full, four-year term on the bench after being appointed by Gov. Brian Kemp in late 2022. His platform includes clearing the backlog of cases created by the pandemic, providing a path forward for nonviolent offenders and holding violent offenders accountable.

Civil rights attorney to challenge Scott McAfee, judge in Fulton Trump case
Wasist lawfare.
“”He is the former executive director of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition””
Just what Atlanta needs....does anyone seriously believe he would be an improvement???? Just more of the same. Maybe people in Fulton County should have the right to vote taken away from them. They got Willis and that should tell them something!!!
I did not see anything objectionable about McAfee’s handling of the hearings....but being white is a detriment!!!
This anti-McAfee campaign will result in more votes for McAfee.
It’s called the TRUMP EFFECT.
Is he just ANOTHER CORRUPT BLACK LAWYER?
“Is he just ANOTHER CORRUPT BLACK LAWYER?”
A member of the Rainbow Coalition? Of course he is!
“I did not see anything objectionable about McAfee’s handling of the hearings....but being white is a detriment!!!”
McAfee has done a great job on the case. That’s why this attorney has announced his campaign against him. The judge’s decision should be filed with the Court around the 15th to 18th. (Friday afternoon or Monday morning). I believe the time for qualifying to run for that judge’s seat ends tomorrow. This is a warning to McAfee. “Don’t rule against Fani”.
This is a warning to McAfee. “Don’t rule against Fani”.
It may be an attempted warning but, IMO, McAfee will certainly not be intimidated and will likely gain additional support in Fulton County with a reasoned decision.
I was one of a few here who thought McAfee was fair in his rulings. He was so calm and had to sit there and listen to so much of that garbage but they know that’s what they’re in for when they take the judge’s seat. He was on his toes when something was about to be covered AGAIN or OVER and OVER and shut the prosecution down..He did a good job of processing all of it. I’m counting on him to come up with the right decision. Sharp guy IMO.....The last one to speak for the DA’s office would have tried the patience of a saint...I don’t know when he shut up as I had to turn it off before that as I couldn’t stand it.
That’s pretty dumb— pushing McKee to rule against the mobocracy of 600K dollars wasted in Fulton County. Mckee can throw out the case and Willis— against this Rainbow push joker throwing red meat to the rest of the blm gangsters.
PART OF RAINBOW & PUSH???
HOW OLD IS HE????? 70 ?????
If McAfee would have run for election in 6 mos unopposed, he might have objectively and fairly judged the Willis case. Now that an ultra liberal is running against him, and with Fulton county being majority black/democrat, it wouldn't surprise me to see the judge pull his punches and give Fani a mere slap on the wrist. The hope being that black voters will vote for him because his decision was favorable to Fani. We'll soon see.
That's not to Fani's advantage.
It certainly wasn't, which is why there were no objections by counsel to any of her testimony. Everyone, with the likely exception of Fani's legal team, was delighted.
The judge, who was acting as the jury, was more than willing to make sure she got as much of her day in court as she wanted.
I'm going to bed.
