"No Labels" Leader Says They Would "Definitely Be Interested" In Backing Nikki Haley
Real Clear Politics ^ | 2/25/24 | Tim Hains

"No Labels" national director Joe Cunningham told "Fox & Friends" on Sunday that the group would "definitely" be interested in giving Nikki Haley a platform to run as a third-party presidential candidate if and when she drops out of the Republican primary.

"We’re talking to a lot of spectacular people right now, and we’re not ready to unveil those folks just yet," Cunningham said.

"This has been a project to essentially give Americans another choice if they’re unhappy with the presumptive nominees. Which, you know, it appears it’s going to be Trump vs. Biden right now, but we don’t know," he said. "Nikki Haley, she’s remaining in the race. You can’t count her out completely. And hats off to her for staying in and for sticking with it."

"But we’re looking for great quality people and folks that have broad an appeal to independents, Democrats, Republicans. And, yeah, I mean, Nikki Haley is somebody we’d definitely be interested in," he said. "We won't be making a decision until after Super Tuesday. We’ve said from the onset that after Super Tuesday we’re going to look at who the presumptive nominees are, and if the vast majority of Americans are unhappy with those and we feel like we can put forward a ticket or offer a ballot line to candidates who can win, then we’re going to offer that ballot line."

Not sure what the point of that would be considering that no labels beat Nimarata in Nevada when she lost to None of the Above.

Trump’s base is solid. A third-party run by Haley would be devastating to Biden. A lot of RINOs and softy soccer moms who would otherwise vote for Biden would vote for Haley instead. I say bring it on.

This just means that they are an Anti-Trump organization. As much as she is establishment, she’s not “no labels’. She’s always been a Republican, even if she’s not MAGA. So “No Labels” is a misnomer — just always has been a Anti Trump organization.

She has stated emphatically that she WILL NOT run as a third party candidate.......which means it’ll more than likely happen.

If Nikki tries this she will learn what lawfare is—up close and personal.

There are “sore loser” laws in most states—and lots of lawyers that would have to litigate whether they applied in this case.

Trumps base is solid but he needs a significant number of independents and most of Republicans to win. She would definitely pull some RINO and moderate Republicans and Independents. She could easily make the difference aiding Biden in Purple states.

Her campaign is going to be “sticking it” to their creditors in a few days—spending money they don’t have....

Lol.

Cash only from Nikki, folks.

The polling is all over the place on this issue—and of course the general election is many months away.

It is way too early to understand the impact of third parties on this race.

Let her label herself No Labels and run for president, might be a good thing because most of those voting for her now are democrats.

Nikki Haley would be restrained from running on a third party ticket by "Sore Loser" laws that would deny her access to the ballot, as she has run in several primaries so far and has indicated that she will stay in the race at least through Super Tuesday.

An attempt by so-called centrists to set up a "No Labels" Presidential candidate could be done with someone like Joe Manchin or Kristen Sinema, or possibly Mitt Romney or another RINO who stayed out of the primaries. However, we are near the end of February. The only two parties that have near 50 state ballot access are the Green and Libertarian Parties, and neither party would accept someone seen as a big corporation (Green) or statist (Libertarian) candidate. Therefore, a "No Labels" party would have to go through the process of getting on the ballot. As RFK, Jr., has found out, it is an arduous and expensive task, and more difficult now than it was for Ross Perot in 1992 or George Wallace in 1968. Additionally, the Democrats would engage in lawfare against a "No Labels" party. Such a party would appeal to the mushy middle of suburban women and country club Republicans that are needed by the Democrats to flip to Biden (or Michelle Obama or Gavin Newsom).
