Right now, it’s hypothetical but it’s pretty clear that they tend to overthrow the military in the event Trump returns as Commander-in-Chief.
Mutiny is on the menu should Trump win again. That’s according to an allegedly “secret” plan, that’s being widely trumpeted on NBC News, for the military to refuse to follow orders from Trump. Part of this is pre-election posturing, but part of this is entirely consistent with the post-Obama military, up to and including the execrable Mark “White Rage” Milley.
Section 2, Article II of the United States Constitution is extremely clear that the President calls the shots when it comes to the military:
The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States; he may require the Opinion, in writing, of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon any Subject relating to the Duties of their respective Offices, and he shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.
There are no workarounds for this. There is no ambiguity. However, that isn’t stopping a cabal of lawmakers and others from trying to figure out how to stage a military coup should Trump be reelected:

But what IS true is that chairman of the JCS Milley went BEHIND the President’s back to an ENEMY.
He should have been punished to the FULL extent of the law. But instead, there was almost no reporting on it, and he didn’t even get a reprimand.

Hanging offenses? It will only require that Pres. Trump make an example of one or two high ranking military who foment such treason to put an end to such talk and actions. Personally, after all these treasonous bastards have put Trump through over the past 7 years, I could easily turn my head if/when a few key figures meet untimely ends in Putinesque fashion.
Relieve every flag officer and replace them with those called up from conservative state National Guards.
