DES MOINES, Iowa, Jan 10 (Reuters) - Donald Trump said on Wednesday that he knows who he wants for his running mate in the 2024 race for president and that his commitment to the NATO alliance will depend on how Europeans treat the United States.
The frontrunner for the Republican nomination, Trump was asked by anchors at a live Fox News town hall who was under consideration for vice president on his ticket.
"I can't tell you that really. I mean I know who it's going to be," Trump told the gathering of Republican voters in Des Moines, Iowa, five days before that Midwestern state's first-in-the-country nominating context.

I can picture Trump blowing it. I don’t want her next in line to be president.
He doesn’t know who it is.
This is classic Trump hitting his stride.
Trump has no idea who he would pick as his running mate, but he does know that if he says the sentence “I know who it’s gonna be” while the other candidates are bickering, it will get him headlines and drown out anything the other candidates did tonight.
It will also generate a lot of opinion articles, discussions, intrigue, and speculation that not only benefit him, but also help inform the eventual selection process.

And the person will need to be able to resist, and withstand, any attacks, or temptations, that might be thrown at them.
No one understands the deep state better than Trump, and he knows that the VP pick will have to carry on the Herculean effort it's going to take, to eradicate them from the government.
That said, the VP pick will not be a woman, just because she's a woman.
A female is a possibility, IMO, but not a given.
How about Mike Pence? No, I’m joking. 😄😄😆😂😊 Picking Pence would doom Trumps’s candidacy. I think the political career of Pence is gone forever.

From a political perspective, I’m not too sure about her, but I’m also not worried - she will be fine.
But from a qualification perspective, all I can say is that THIS CHICK HAS BALLS. She chose to visit Assad in Syria to hear HIS SIDE of the war Hillary (Skunk Cabbage, as we call her) started, and she fully understands it now. Likewise on Ukraine, rather than the paid shills here and elsewhere, she also looked into the claims of BOTH SIDES - so she’ll be a GREAT person to run with Trump!
