Giving it a fresh new name doesn’t change what it is
On Christmas Day, police in Georgia were called and told by a man that he had just killed his girlfriend and that he was about to turn the gun on himself. He gave his address as that of Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene. According to the congresswoman, this was perhaps the eighth time that law enforcement had been called to her family home with a similar hoax story.
By alerting police to an apparently highly violent situation, a caller prompts them to send SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) officers to a location. The purpose is to put the officers on guard and more likely to lead with their firearms. This practice is termed “swatting,” but such a catchy name distorts what heinous practice is truly taking place. This is clearly a method of targeted harassment, but could there also be a more nefarious motivation? It would not be going too far to suggest swatting could be a means of attempted murder by proxy.
The intention behind sending SWAT to someone’s home is – at the very least – to create a dangerous situation and, at worst, the hope that someone is killed during the event. And yet, somehow, such incidents are often dismissed as minor crimes.

There should be severe penalties for “swatting.” Are there?

Well all the technology you would think they figure out these calls are fake and trace back to the caller.
To find out who's doing this is an easy task. Note how fast and efficiently the Federal Government identified, arrested, and incarcerated the peaceful protesters of January 6, 2021.
It would be nice to see the swatters themselves get swatted! (I know, I know , but I can dream can’t I?)
Call in such a call against AOC and you would see how fast the case would be broken even if the caller did it with a Chinese burner phone over a Indian VOIP service from a location in the Congo.
Everyone is against “swatting” but few question the militarized, usually Fed-funded, hair-trigger, Seal Team Six wannabee police forces that make it all possible.
How much would you like to bet these people use burner phones and then toss them away..Easy to solve, a call comes in on one of these phones just make it a low priority as the Phone company gives Police that information to the dispatchers.
You may be on to something as the Federals may well be the instigators.

The FBI has the tools to have these people in custody by now, but they won’t.
They cheerlead this sort of thing.
It should be pretty simple. You do this, 5 years in prison. The next person gets their brains blown out on tick tock.
Zero tolerance.
The person used a burner phone. One can triangulate where the call was made from. Find out who in that area stopped using their phone during this period or turned their phone off. Guilty.
They say it’s on traceable and undetectable because of VPNs, and spoofing IP addresses. I dare anyone who truly believes that to call in a threat against Biden, say something about the truck bomb being completely assembled, say something about the load of stinger missile you just received in Oklahoma… Then go into your kitchen and make a cup of hot chocolate and drink it. Because the cops would already be on the way to your house. Drink it quickly. Deciphering this is child’s play for the NSA.
They aren’t solving these because they aren’t trying. If prominent Democrats started getting them from Maga people, you would be amazed how fast they could solve them.

Attempted murder and probably across state lines - doesn’t that make it an FBI case? Or are they too busy searching for white supremacists under rocks and leaves?
