Former President Trump said Friday that he’d be willing to debate one of his Republican primary rivals if the race is “very close” after next month’s New Hampshire primary.
He also signaled he would participate in general election debates run by Commission on Presidential Debates, which he has often criticized.
Conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt asked Trump if he would do a debate with any of his Republican challengers if there is only one left in the race after the Jan. 23 New Hampshire primary.

Close? The only way Trump would be close to 2nd place would be if he died.

possibly- he’s gotten worse though even with the drugs and Trump most definitely will point out any foibles by biden and show biden is incompetent to run the country- He’s committing more and more faux pas (sp?)- will they risk him doing a doozy of a mistake on the debate floors?

A Trump debate with gov DeSantis would be educational for,us GOPvoters, Trump is far too afraid of DeSantis to do it.
Oh please. It’s never a debate between the candidates it’s GOP candidate versus the media with the opponent behind the other podium, in Biden’s case, jacked up in whatever substance they give him, in diapers, earbud tapped in, presupplied questions.
Biden would lose but the fake news would score it as a win.
Only 10% watch - the other 90% rely on fake news highlights and sound bites designed to throw the win to the Democrat.
Even the 10% that do watch - half of them will wait ti be told who won rafter than judge for themselves.
So few people are independent thinkers - that’s why a debate NEVER helps the front runner if he’s a Republican. Even Reagan vs Mondale in 1984 - Reagan won 49 states - without the debate he might have won all 50! Lol.
Really good interview with Hewitt this morning. Anyone listening had to be mentally comparing it to Biden’s labored pattern of speech.

Answer. Trump is afraid to debate governor DeSantis, and it’s there for any honest person to observe.
I don’t think he would want to debate with DeSantis.
