I can’t imagine Minnesota regiments fighting at Gettysburg rallying to this banner. The muted earth tones reminds me of the days of shag carpet and leisure suits when bland earth tones reined supreme. It’s a flag and you need vibrant colors not blah. Interestingly the flag also has passing resemblance to the Palestinian flag, though at least the Palestinians went with bright colors. The redesign of the state seal is tolerable so why not just put the new seal on the blue bedsheet and call it good? Some of us in the Peoples Republic of Minnesota felt a red banner with the star and the hammer and sickle logo might be more in keeping with the direction the state is heading.
