Biden flunks Econ 101 with ‘incoherent’ inflation tweet
MSN ^ | 12/09/2023 | Jon Miltimore

President Joe Biden’s approval rating is tanking, and he’s now trailing former President Donald Trump in national polls, as well as in some key swing states.

Vox blames the economy for Biden’s plunging popularity — or at least voters’ perception of the economy. A new Gallup poll shows that just 32% of people approve of Biden’s handling of the economy.

To combat the narrative that Biden’s policies are to blame, the White House has gone on the offensive, attacking billionaires and blaming corporations for the economic pain the public is experiencing.

“attacking billionaires and blaming corporations”

The third-to-last and second-to-last refuse of a scoundrel.

What did he say? What did he say?
Oh...here it is:

“Let me be clear to any corporation
that hasn’t brought their prices back down
even as inflation has come down:
It’s time to stop the price gouging,
give American consumers a break.”
Biden tweeted.

Thank you.

And yes that is stupid. You don’t reduce prices because inflation has slowed. You just don’t raise them as much.

It will take a couple of years with the right policies to get back to where we were back on March of 2020, just before the coronavirus outbreak. A big part of that is to get Trump back in the White House. But I’ll say there’s 10% chance of that happening, just my personal estimate.

Thanks for posting the subject of the headline. How difficult can it be?

I don’t understand why the OP seems to want us to have to click on an MSN link.

Just post the freakin’ tweet, don’t make us gove MSN our clicks.

“Incoherent” is not the right word. We know what he is saying, it is just flat-out, dumb-*ss stupid. Has anyone asked him why those big corporations weren’t so greedy under the Trump administration and held inflation down to less than 2%? What would Biden say?

It’s not stupid, it’s demagoguery, an self-serving insincere ploy to try to use class envy to cover his own failure up and shift blame to a straawman. “We solved inflation but the reason prices are all still high is because the EEEVIL RICH PEOPLE HATE YOU!

or at least voters’ perception of the economy.

Hey Jon Miltimore, did you ever stop to think it might be your perception of the economy that needs to be examined? If Democrats stopped their monetary infusion for the press, you too might have to face the realities others face.

The biggest expense for most companies is labor. Is Slow Joe telling companies to cut payroll to be able to cut prices?
