Congress doesn't have the balls to replace it.

I love Trump, but this is just BS.

Trump has never had a replacement plan for Obamacare. This is just typical politician BS to get the votes. I expect more from Trump honestly.

This is like W Bush and the RINO’s every election saying they wanted to overturn Roe and stop illegals. And then doing nothing once elected.

It’s a good thing to run on in a general election. Shows empathy and thr “suburban moms” are all about that even if children are being raped at the border.

This illustrates Trump’s problem, he does not believe in Federalism, and hubris prevents him from understanding that D.C. needs to be dismantled instead of fixed.

Congress eliminated the Personal Mandate within days of Trump threatening to force the Congress to enroll in Obamacare.

Now threaten to FORCE ALL FEDERAL EMPLOYEE’S into Obamacare. They deserve the very best Health Insurance America has to offer, and that is Obamacare. Almost every Union, including Government employee unions held rallies in support of Obamacare, Eliminate ALL Waivers too for everyone.

Obviously the right call is to give it back to the capitalist market, as it was, but Trump either doesn’t understand this, or care. He likes and believes in big government, and just wants the power to control it all himself. Especially anything to do with medicine, vaccines, etc.

Those sort of comments don’t mean anything. He said similar things running in 2016 and while president. There is never any detail behind the comments.

It would be a hoot if he replaces it with a truly free market, LOL.

Trump needs to define the proposal, there are many floating out there, he needs to choose one.

First thing that needs to happen, is we need to decouple health insurance from employment. It puts American workers at a disadvantage, since companies don’t have to worry about insuring foreign workers.

Good for Trump... the current system basically benefits the corrupt health care industrial complex.

Healthcare reform, education reform and immigration reform would be the top 3 most popular issues if proposals and solutions were made. Next would be tax reform.

Much ado about semantics. If you replace something, you terminate it.

And not to mention that all of the illegals get free health care at the ER, subsidized by tax paying Americans. We all subsidize the illegal employment of aliens.

Folks,

Trump favorite method is removing regulation. And that is all that is needed.

There was legislation passed in the early 90’s that bureaucratic interpretation had to go back to congress for final approval. If not done, the regulations DISAPPEAR, they don’t exist.

This was NOT done by the bureaucrats. IT was beginning to be Trumps favorite tool. Easy Peasy. I was working with congressional staff who understood this in dealing with the emotional pet issue in renting.

I plead guilty to a felony. If Trump wins, I am going to apply for a pardon.

The current system is FAR MORE costly than anyone realizes.

There are over 40 MILLION on Soc Sec./Medicare.

The “supplemental” health plans have to be “REVIEWED” every year for changes—either to ‘the plan’ or to Which provider is using which plan.

The TV ads ARE NEVER ENDING from August to Dec 7 every year.

Every participant in such plans is URGED to CALL their current provider OR to SWITCH to another provider.

That means up to 40 MILLION +++++ are calling & getting more confused.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO MAINTAIN ALL THOSE DIFFERENT PLANS & TO BE POSSIBLY SWITCHING EVERY YEAR—and to answer all those phone calls???

Neighbor just turned 65.

HE has been INUNDATED with ‘offers’ & other incentives to join ‘this plan or that plan’.

THEN: HE finds out that the clinic he has been using for over 15 years HAS CHANGED “PLANS” & the plan he chose is NOT servicing the medical clinic he is familiar with———and to use the plan he chose-—HE now has to go almost 52 miles ONE WAY instead of about 8 miles one way.

ALSO has to start over with new staff & new doctors.

HE is beyond furious & confused.

THIS IS COUNTER PRODUCTIVE at the very least.

IT ALSO IS USING BILLIONS OF $$$$$$$$ that can be spent better.

The devil is in the details.

I don’t want a federal health care plan, designed by Obama or Trump.

The ONLY thing to retain from Obamacare is the health insurance exchanges, minus all the mandates that dictate what all policies on the exchanges must have, and minus all the subsidies. That’s it. Kill 100% of the rest of Obamacare which was not only about the exchanges but added a hundred of more new federal boards that set myriad federal policies/regulations involving not just insurance policies on the exchanges, but Medicare and Medicaid, HIPPA, requirements on the keeping of medical records and tons of things all across the health care industries. THAT cannot be undone merely by writing new law; it requires repeal of Obamacare 100% as part of any new law.

This is nowhere more true than in American politics.

The republicans stepped into this “repeal and replace” trap shortly after Trump was elected in 2016. Thanks to McCain, they couldn’t even do that. I am embarrassed for Trump that he is following the same rosy path into mediocrity.

Obamacare needs to be terminated period. The further removed the medical care system is from the free market, the more costly and less efficient it becomes. Your premiums are paying for insurance, pharmaceutical, hospital and government bureaucracies, not for medical care.

Rather than referring to the whole complicated ball of wax as “Obamacare,” republicans need to discuss specific destructive policies that make up the whole: subsidies for health insurance, mandates on what must be covered, pre-existing condition coverage, bureaucratic control over medical providers’ payments, etc.

“Congress doesn’t have the balls to replace it.”

That might be true, but has any Republican (including President Trump) ever made a replacement proposal?

Obamacare was enacted in 2010 and for a long time the Republican position was straight repeal. Replacement became the battlecry during the 2016 presidential race.

13 years have passed since the Act’s enactment and 7 years since replacement was proposed.

WHY HAS NO ONE YET REVEALED A PLAN??
