I take no pleasure in the political demise of Ron DeSantis, but he made a huge political miscalculation: When the 2020 election was stolen from Republican voters, the stand-up thing for any Republican leader to do, was to have President Trump’s back, not to challenge him.
President Trump was the clear choice of Republican voters in 2020, and still is. When Republican leaders failed to join Trump in challenging the stolen election, they betrayed every Republican voter.
The same thing will happen to Nikki Haley and the others. Republican voters are still outraged and bitter over 2020 - and they know full well what is going on with this banana republic lawfare against President Trump.
So when Haley, the new uniparty choice, fails to defend him - or joins with the Democrats in attacking him - she too will go the way of Ron DeSantis.
It looks like the 'desantis' supporters have finally dropped their pretense, and are showing they were nevertrumpers all along.
And they are crying because the meany Trump isn't nice to desanctimonious and letting desanctus beat him in the primary...

How sad for the Free State libertarians who moved to the “Live Free or Die” state to find their fellow citizens leaning toward those candidates who haven’t swallowed the freemarketeer Kool-Aid.
I don’t think DeSantis has much of a chance, but having seen him up close here in NH, he is at a particular disadvantage in a small state where there’s a tradition of getting out and meeting the voters - he’s terrible up close, like an android programmed to act human by a bad programmer.
All of our enemies masquerading as conservatives are whining and that’s a good thing.
What are you gonna do with all of that vast amount of free time you always seem to have when/if Gov. DeSantis drops out? You'll have to find some new Conservative (with a great record of accomplishments, I might add) to hate with a vengeance.
