The Democrat-controlled Massachusetts House will take up legislation this week that would require licensed concealed carriers to ask permission before entering someone’s home while armed.
The legislation would also expand many of the state’s already stringent gun controls.
Mike Bloomberg-affiliated Everytown for Gun Safety currently ranks Massachusetts the No. 6 state in the Union for gun control strength.

Compelled speech? You MUST say this? You MUST say that?
Sounds as though unlicensed people will not have that requirement.

..”..Ask Permission Before Entering a Home While Armed..”
Visitor: “May I come in armed?”
Me: “why of course...is your friend armed?”
Visitor: “no...”
Me: ***slams door in face”***
Why do they call arms being infringed “control” and “safety”?
When in fact it is unsafe and against the constitution to do so?
Sounds like a lot of constitutional amendments are being broken with this scheme.
In South Carolina:
“ 23-31-225. Carrying Concealed Weapons Into Residences or Dwellings.
No person who holds a permit issued pursuant to Article 4, Chapter 31, Title 23 may carry a concealable weapon into the residence or dwelling place of another person without the express permission of the owner or person in legal control or possession, as appropriate. A person who violates this provision is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, must be fined not less than one thousand dollars or imprisoned for not more than one year, or both, at the discretion of the court and have his permit revoked for five years”
If one were to look at the top 25 gun crimes in the Commonwealth of MA and determine which of them would be impacted by the absolute crap in this bill...the answer would be “None of the above.”
This is nothing but “feel good” garbage for the left. And...a lot of paperwork for the Cops. They police are 100% against this bill.
The retard clown show at the Maryland lunatic asylum they call the legislature passed similar stupidity this year.
Of course, chief clown Governor Stepn Fetchit immediately signed it.
The insane law was to go into effect October 1. It was so blatantly unconstitutional that an Obama appointed judge issued an injunction preventing large parts of the law from going into effect.
Boston has a very high crime rate despite the draconian gun regulations already in place. Piling on a few more ridiculous regulations won’t reduce crime. Not to mention virtually no crime is committed by legal gun owners. These new regulations just make it more difficult and expensive for people to defend themselves which I think is the objective.
It seems a bit pedantic.
Only about 15 people in Massachussetts have a gun, and of those about 2 have one that isn’t a 36” long single shot, top break .22
Men with penises should also be required to beg permission. They could be rapists.
Yeah, prolly wont be visitin inside anymore. You wanna have a beer on the porch?
for crying out loud- liberals are seeking every loophole to our constitutional right to self defense that they can invent-
It is not feel good. It is another cut in the death of a thousand cuts that Democrats are attempting to inflict on our God given right to self defense. Democrats want the ordinary citizens disarmed and defenseless just as all tyrants always want their subjects unable to resist. Arbeit macht frei
Mass democrat voters are stupid. The people they vote for are evil.
I always ask before I enter someone’s home or vehicle.
I think you’d be surprised. Ever been in a Mass gun shop? I have.
