A grandfather and retired IDF general rescued his granddaughters from their kibbutz as Hamas attacked. Noam Tibon, 62, is being compared on social media to Liam Neeson's character in "Taken." On the way, Tibon helped kill Hamas militants and then fought his way onto the kibbutz to save his family.

One thing I liked about "Taken" is seeing all the Frenchmen and Albanians get killed. We probably won't see a movie like that again.

I love this guy. He had no doubts that he was going to rescue his family. A few terrorists weren’t going to stand in his way.

Kibbutz:
A collective farm or settlement in modern Israel.
An Israeli communal{2} form of agricultural settlement. Originally it was predominantly agricultural and practiced a very high level of sharing, including collective rearing of children. More recently (by 1998) industries have taken over a significant role in the Kibbutz economy, and the level of sharing has dropped significantly.
A community, usually a village, based on a high level of social and economical sharing, equality, direct democracy and tight social relations.
Wonder if she had some time in the IDF too.
I believe everyone in Israel has to spend two years in the IDF.

Yeah...not a fan. His views are standard in Hollyweird. One of the many reasons I don’t indulge watching their stuff anymore. I still have a memory though.

That monument could use some cleaning It does get periodic cleaning, with all the dog tags getting removed. I took this picture in June 2006 and I've see pictures taken before and taken since where it was cleaner and all the dog tags had been removed.

Sure, but I was thinking she might have more than just the mandatory conscript time in, or at least more training. She would almost have had to be to participate in the operation like this.
