That’s because there is now a significant chunk of Republican voters who always choose the craziest candidate presented to them, whether it’s in a primary or an election for party officer.
That’s because if a candidate is even a tiny bit different in thinking they are written off. You have to be pure as a winters morning after a snowfall to win a primary. What is stupid is they are unelectable in the general. It’s totally insane. There are some here that believe we should have 100 Rand Paul’s. Well maybe we should. But reality is we can maybe have 10. But you then chose some that are close to his ideals. And in some states you may have to settle for half his ideals. But that’s unacceptable in todays politics. Major reason we lose.

BS, l am in Mi If anything they pick a parade of rino’s. The last R Governor was a worthless collaborator who endorsed Biden.
GOP in Michigan is in complete disarray and unorganized seperate in camps between ultra-MAGA and establishment old party GOP.
Most republican strongholds are the MAGA areas, whereas the bankrollers or establishment Republicans are more the careerist political elite.
The disarray is causing Lansing and Ann Arbor to win bolstered by Detroit and flint corrupt vote making machines.
Michigan needs a serious meeting and reorganization to lose shake off its funk.

The Michigan RepukeLickings didn't protest because their red seats are ALWAYS safe [the state is actually very red]. Just like the Republicans in Georgia, the Michigan Pubbies could care less if both US senators and the governor are Democrats. Their paychecks, bennies and state government retirements are safe.
Ever since the shadowy "voting group" got hold of the 2016 red county ballots in the summer of 2018, the Michigan Democrats have been on a roll.

Ronna Romney was the Michigan state republican chair 8 or so years ago. She graduated to national republican chair. 2+ years ago republicans nominated all trumpers to all statewide offices and the state was inundated by the likes of the pillow guy, rudy, and kraken. They all lost by humiliating numbers. Michigan is a Yugely important state in the next national election. 5-6 states are the battle grounds. There are no presently announced republican national candidates (including DJT) who will win Michigan as it stands today. NONE. kamal even wins. sleepy joe gets 60%.
