A large batch of Ford workers at the Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne have been temporarily laid off as the company endures the United Auto Workers (UAW) strike.

The company said Friday the number of workers was approximately 600, WWMT reported Friday.

The workers affected are from the body construction department and the south sub-assembly area of integrated stamping, the outlet noted.

I want American voters to suffer in time for the election.

Both Michigan’s Gov.Whitmer and Biden have tried to take credit for settling strikes to get the spotlight publicity for their careers.

Greedy groups battling each other is part of the game.

Lay all of them off. LOL. Let the state’s unemployment insurance take the hit. Not that Unions really care if an entire industry collapses. It’s about union power. All casualties are acceptable collateral damage, as far as they are concerned.

“The sources, who agreed to speak on the condition of anonymity due to the ongoing discussions, also pushed back on the UAW’s argument that members aren’t making a living wage. They said the average compensation under Ford’s current proposal for first-year UAW employees would be $132,000, including $92,000 in cash and $17,500 in health care coverage.”

Our children and grandchildren will pay off those pensions, whether they like it or not.

I don’t pity the corporations because during the 60’s and 70’s when the auto company’s were strong and profitable, the uaw demanded cradle to grave benefits and to avert strikes, the manufacturers caved.

However, they did not put money away for the rainy day fund to finance the liabilities they agreed upon. Now healthcare costs have sky rocketed as well as everything else.

They have little cash on hand to cover the unfunded liabilities.

The combined targeting by the unions and the gvt. will soon cripple these corporations and they will have no choice but to surrender to the Marxist powers that be.

cloward and piven!!!

To quote Donald Trump as the convention crowd chanted about Hillary “lock her up” “lock her up.” he raised his arms, palms out and smiled and said “No, no. Let’s just win this election.”

Let’s hope there’s a country left for him to lead in 2025.

The Unions play the companies against each other and pick the most vulnerable because they will capitulate to survive. If the car makers agree to hold the line the Government comes down on them for collusion. That is how you end with autoworkers making as much as master degreed Professionals and one of the reasons you pay $40,000 for a golf cart

This is just American decline.

All the leadership in every institution, with much of the population urging them on.

The unions have always demanded their members vote Democrat. Now they see how the democrats have given them high inflation and the need of a strike for more pay. Yet those same democrats have flooded the country with illegal aliens ready to take those jobs the strikers left behind.

labor unions cause increases in unemployment by striking to raise money wage rates

Argument 1

Evidence:

In 2008, the United Auto Workers union went on strike against General Motors. The strike lasted for 40 days and resulted in the loss of 20,000 jobs.

In 2012, the American Airlines pilots union went on strike against the airline. The strike lasted for 11 days and resulted in the loss of 10,000 jobs.

Reason: Strikes can disrupt production and lead to job losses.

Warrant: Disruptions to production can lead to a decrease in demand for goods and services, which can lead to a decrease in the demand for labor.

Claim: Labor unions can cause increases in unemployment by striking.

Argument 2

Evidence: A 2013 study by the National Bureau of Economic Research found that a 10% increase in unionization rates leads to a 0.5% increase in unemployment rates.

A 2016 study by the Cato Institute found that unionized workers earn 13.2% more than non-unionized workers, but that this wage premium comes at a cost of 1.2% fewer jobs.

Reason: Higher wages can make it more expensive for employers to hire workers, which can lead to job losses.

Warrant: When the cost of labor increases, employers may hire fewer workers.

Claim: Labor unions can cause increases in unemployment by demanding higher wages.

Conclusion: Labor unions can cause increases in unemployment by striking and by demanding higher wages.

UAW is desperately trying to hold onto the past while the liberals and the Biden Administration are trying to transition to EV’s. The move to EV’s will decimate the UAW.
