Mayor Eric Adams (D-NYC) and the New York City Council announced a massive new project to house 1,000 border crossers inside an empty five-story office building on Long Island.
The building on Austell Place, close to a train yard near Queens, has been designated a “humanitarian response and relief center” and is the city’s 16th large-scale migrant housing center, according to Crain’s New York.

NYC will hand the Feds a huge invoice for their incompetence. Congress should pass legislation to unfund ALL NGOs. Private donations only.

Its Long Island City, not Long Island. The title is misrepresented. LIC is right near Astoria, right over the Triborough Bridge. A ways from Long Island.
Of course this is part of AOC’s district so i’m all for it. Long Island City was supposed to be home to a massive Amazon warehouse and its’ 30,000 jobs, until AOC had it pushed out. Now it will be home to thousands of illegals. Gotta love it.
