President Joe Biden’s 2024 polling numbers among black and Hispanic Democrats are perhaps the worst since Walter Mondale in 1984, New York Times’s Nate Cohn warned Tuesday based on Siena College national polling.
While Biden’s support among white Democrats remains steadily below 50 percent, his support among black and Hispanic Democrats has plummeted since he assumed office.
“Biden’s weakness among nonwhite voters is broad, spanning virtually every demographic category and racial group, including a 72-11 lead among Black voters and a 47-35 lead among Hispanic registrants,” Cohn wrote.

They cheerleaded up and down for Mondale too. Gave us polls showing Mondale or Gary Hart would wipe the floor with Reagan. Then Geraldine Ferraro and Mondale’s pledge to raise taxes were big vote getters.
Now they tell us Mondale didn’t do so great with minorities, forty years later.

Sure there will be election fraud in any case, but there is a public relations benefit to making it at least a little plausible. So Joe is out.
There was (no longer true) an all black Detroit talk station and several times I listened to call-ins where they attacked Biden——last year——and complained about various reasons for not liking him.
The women host said “But this is the question: would you vote for Trump to win?”
100% of them said no. Their voices were almost too tightened up to say it and they must have been cringing.
Best we can hope for is to be under 95% black Dem vote totals some black people will stay home (and not vote mail-in either). A faint hope. Record low turnout would be great.
