“BRICS group will brick itself in and be scammed by these two crooks”

As opposed to the crooks in DC and the US federal reserve banks??

“these BRICS national currencies have declined against the dollar:”

Define “declined” and maybe you’ll have a very scary answer and you won’t post such a thing again.

Five years ago you could trade 69 rubles for 1 dollar. Today it takes you 96 rubles to buy 1 dollar. That is a decline of 38% in purchasing power between the currencies.

ALL of the BRICS national currencies have declined in purchasing power against the US dollar over the last five years. Some more than others, but none have appreciated.

Do you understand what "decline" means in this context now?

“Do you understand what “decline” means in this context now?”

You still did not define “declined”. You defined exchange rates.

The potential threat from BRICS is not based on conventional assumptions that they will try to operate internationally the same way the west has, over these last many decades.
Consider the Saudi-led OPEC oil embargo in the 1980s, and how they were able single-handedly to disrupt our big powerful dollar economy. Now consider a not-very- friendly BRICS+ will control not just oil but other critical resources essential for the operation of highly developed western economies.
The potential for geopolitical leverage is there, and we would be foolish to go whistling past the graveyard.

—”Now consider how much the purchasing power of the dollar has declined in the last five years and realize these places are even worse!”

BUT WAIT, there is more!

Argentina, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, new members, all invited in for 2024

Argentina with an annual inflation rate of 113%.

But they did pass on Venezuela with an annual inflation rate was 686% for 2021... For now.
“To infinity and beyond!”

—”BRICS group will brick itself in and be scammed by these two crooks”

And that has been the primary objective from the start.

And none of that costly kinetic action is needed,

“You think their politicians aren’t even more corrupt?”

No, and I didn’t say that. Go take your straw men elsewhere

“The Western governments spending money like drunken sailors and rampant corruption is why brics will eventually win.”

If you agree that the western governments are less corrupt and less profligate (which are facts), then what is the basis of your assertion ‘BRICS will eventually win’. Win what? How, when you agree they’re more profligate and corrupt?

You still did not define “declined”. You defined exchange rates.

I showed you how the decline in relative purchasing power evidenced by the change in exchange rates.

verb

1. (typically of something regarded as good) become smaller, fewer, or less; decrease

The purchasing power of every BRICS member’s national currency has declined against the U.S. dollar.

What part of this confuses you?

Because the corruption and waste is spread among competing crooks with differing and competing interests. They act as a check on one another.

No one set of crooks can manipulate the currency in BRICS. It’s a basket of crooks.

No one set of crooks can manipulate the currency in BRICS. It’s a basket of crooks.

But they’re all objectively worse crooks that manipulate their currency more. So how does that produce a ‘win’ over the West?

Combining weak currencies just has them racing to beggar each other.

I’ll happily outline the faults with the US dollar and the crooks that manage it, but it remains the ‘cleanest dirty shirt’ in the world of fiat laundry. People looking to South Africa, etc. for some kind of global economic savior strike me as delusional.

The world is tired of the US exporting our inflation, and dictating what other countries must do. So BRICS countries are going to band together and stop using US Dollars.

And they are figuring out how to create a hard asset backed currency. Like we used to have.

I don’t blame them one bit. I’m looking forward to the turmoil it will bring to Deficit Spending in the US. Get it over with.

Deficit Spending needs to STOP, whatever pain it brings. It will only be worse kicking it further into the future.

I applaud BRICS.

That's the whole point of BRICS, isn't it?

And, it wouldn't be happening if the Western globalists weren't bullying and abusing the rest of the world.

Putin is infinitely better leader than Biden or any President this country has had since Reagan other than Trump.

Why? Because is looking out for his nation's best interests and has protected and promoted Orthodox Christianity in Russia.

Instead of getting your undies in a wad about him, you should worrying about the regime in charge of this nation and greed and corrupt of the globalist a-holes that have gotten hold of our foreign policy and damaged our reputation in the rest of the world in their quest to make $$$.

Well, of course you forget that I am not a Russian. I am American and unlike you value America and Americans over others, especially Russians.

You are typical of those who can’t seem to understand that American politics are not the real issue in the war between the Russian aggression and Ukraine. One wonders if you are in fact American. The evidence herein is that you are not

Its not 1983 anymore, and the fact you can’t acknowledge 21st century economic realities should be concerning to anyone who might otherwise support your brand of mindless cheer leading.
