Nordstrom’s flagship store in crime-plagued San Francisco closed its doors for the last time Sunday at a mall where fentanyl “zombies” now roam outside among drug dealers and thieves.

Dozens of shoppers were seen over the weekend perusing mostly barren aisles for mementos from the formerly posh department store — which once featured a five-star spa, champagne and caviar bar and live pianist — as cops patrolled outside.

“It’s a sad day,” a shopper named Julie told ABC 7 of the store, which was welcomed with much fanfare when it first opened on the corner of Market and Fifth streets at the San Francisco Centre mall 35 years ago.

“It’s a wonderful store. It’s been an anchor in San Francisco,” the shopper added of the Nordstrom’s, which had occupied 312,000 square feet on five floors at the mall.

SF voted 90% for Biden, but an upscale white liberal female in SF... 99%+

Julie more than likely voted for the very people that triggered the events that have led to what is now the cesspool that used to be San Francisco.

I’m glad I went there in the 80s......and even back then I could see the direction it was headed in.

Its America’s own (neo) Marxist cultural revolution.

I don’t see this politically-movement (because that’s what it is) being confined to just San Francisco.

So what happens when it comes to your town? I guarantee 99% of your politicians do not have the stones to stand-up against a leftist governor or especially the DOJ/FBI when it does.

“An employee at the store told ABC 7 that the closure is “definitely partially due to crime in the area — COVID-19 had a big impact.”

LOL-—Covid.....LOL!!! Nothing to do with local and state politicians allowing criminals to do what they want....Yeah, okay.

democrat-controlled areas do to their areas what democrats want to do to the entire country.

Destroying the means of production is #1 on their to-do list. After they destroy it, the government will step into the void and take over what the business was doing. That is ownership of the means of production, which is communism.

Market St. used to be a destination spot, a hive of commerce and entertainment. Now, shops, hotels, restaurants are closing en masse. Hey, at least parking will be easier to find, not that you’d see me in SF anytime soon.

Sux indeed. When I lived in SF, friend and I shopped there on sale days, bought gorgeous expensive dresses at 50 percent off. It was across the street from Macys. Downtown was safe, could walk around at night, go to restaurants, enjoy life.

Even earlier, when I was 13 and lived in Chicago, we visited SF, stayed at St Francis Hotel on Union Square. My dad had business, my mom was sick, so doorman told me how to walk uphill to very interesting AND. SAFE Chinatown.

How far would a cute little 13-year-old girl get today?

Good on AMZ. I’ve been buying there since Bezos was selling books only. A short time later, my son worked there as a programmer. Now I buy an amazing number of things there, especially since the lockdowns, and have free PRIME.

Our local downtown and malls are thriving and don’t require me to shop there to keep them going. Macy’s delivers and so does Walmart, handy during lockdowns.

We can’t have nice things anymore....

because the Democrats have taken them away from us....

for our own good, of course.

There is another side to every story.
I would like to hear that other side.
It seems like this is a GOOD thing, since it shows the destructive consequences of various policies and actions.
Nordstrom’s can now redeploy to more favorable locales?
