President Joe Biden laughed and again ignored questions about the cocaine found at the White House - as the administration tried to distance the first family and staff from the shocking discovery by suggesting it was a visitor.
Biden sat and watched reporters as they tried and failed to get his response to the drug scandal while he was in the Oval Office with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson on Wednesday.
Press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre implied in her daily briefing that a member of the public left the Schedule A substance in a 'heavily-traveled area' of the West Wing - the office space that includes the Oval Office and an area for staff.
Despite repeated questions, she refused to get into 'hypotheticals' about the investigation and insisted the Secret Service would find the culprit who abandoned the drugs while Biden and son Hunter were in Camp David for the weekend
The cocaine was found on Sunday in small, zippered bag in a cubby hole in the lobby area of the West Wing, where visitors leave their cell phones and other electronics before entering the White House complex.
A member of White House staff must accompany guests who tour the West Wing, and the Biden administration tests new hires for illicit substances.
Jean-Pierre said Biden had been briefed on the matter, but the president didn't acknowledge questions shouted at him during the meeting with Kristersson.
He also didn't answer questions about it on Tuesday.
The Secret Service is conducting an investigation, including looking at security cameras and visitor logs.
The substance was found during a routine Secret Service sweep on Sunday evening and tested positive as a drug.
Jean-Pierre noted the lobby sees a lot of foot traffic on any given day.

when they review the security tapes, they are more likely to produce evidence that Epstein hung himself than they are to identify the baggie dropper.
Anyone else would have expressed anger about the situation, and vowed that the person responsible would be found and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Instead, Biden thinks the whole thing is a big joke. That tells us he already knows who left it there.

Item is placed at a pre-agreed upon time and location by deliverer, then picked up later by receiving party...which keeps both parties from being in the same place at the same time in case location is being surveilled....I really believe that’s a plausible scenario.
To be fair.. it is possible the coke belongs to any number of leftards that visit the WH.
