Former President Donald Trump suggested that his attacks against his Republican challenger Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis are personal in the second part of his exclusive interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier, saying that he finds it “very disloyal” that DeSantis joined the 2024 presidential race after he helped him get elected in Florida.
Trump, who is battling DeSantis for the GOP presidential nomination, was discussing the COVID response of several Republican governors when he invoked the Florida governor’s nickname, “Rob DeSanctimonious” during the second part of the hour-long interview that aired Tuesday on “Special Report.”
“Why do you use that name?” Baier interjected.
“I got him elected,” Trump replied. “And I thought it was very disloyal when he said ‘Yes, I’d run.’ I got him past two races."

Loyalty only runs one way with Trump. He’s demanding a coronation instead of a primary election.
Yep. Everyone else is supposed to put their ambition and career goals aside because Trump wants another try. Or they’re “disloyal” and deserve to be called names.
That is not the reasoning of a mature adult.
Trump must defeat his rivals so he can get the nomination.
And lose again or have the election stolen from him.
But good governance got him re-elected. Maybe Trump should have been taking notes…

From what I’ve seen, DeSantis has lost a lot of his support to RFK Jr.
America First people aren’t too keen on his or other candidates’ globalist uniparty comrades.
DeSantis is flailing about on a national stage while the Bush family has him on a leash.
Amazing to see somebody completely tank the 2028 presidency in real time, but wow, Ron is an awkward stiff.
Quit. Just run on your policy Trump. Don’t worry about him. Your winning.
DeSantis is cratering his presidential aspirations and this is your take on it?

Trump’s trial over the classified documents is now scheduled for August of this year, it’s entirely possible he will be a convicted Felon facing jail time by the end of the year, then what ??
It’s not right or fair but it’s a real possibility that very few people are willing to acknowledge.
If Trump gets removed from the equation, someone will get the nomination, will diehard Trump supporters stay loyal to Trump and watch him go down in flames or will they support someone else, some will switch their support, others will simply not vote, which is unfortunate.
So sick and tired of Trump supporters thinking trump is owed the nomination. He is not. He needs to work for it like everyone else. Trump endorsed DeSantis in 2018 and DeSantis returned the favor by endorsing trump in 2020. DeSantis is no longer in debt to trump. It’s done. Trump is too immature to be president again.
So BBaier creates a “suggestion” and the DJT/DeS bashing revs up? Nice job accepting that as a reason to fight amongst ourselves.
“Good governance” as in threatening the power of state government to punish a corporation that had a Gay Day or whatever? That’s an authoritarian Bush-funded move and Ronald also flip-flopped on Ukraine after his MIC funders yanked his choke collar.
The “classics” are ageless.
Unfortunately, Reagan’s 11th commandment seems to be forgotten by everyone involved here: “Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican.”
Trump: DeSantis is disloyal.
Christie: Trump’s indictment has merit.
Etc.
We’re not talking about a disagreement on, say, tax rates here. These kinds of cuts might not heal before the general election.
Not good. Unless you’re a member of the DNC. Then you’re loving it.
Trump, who attacked Ted Cruz’s wife on her looks, resorts to name calling so often like 4th grade kids.....and he’s calling out someone for personal attacks.
You can’t make this up. It’s bizarre.
