How Flipping Colorado Blue Has Become Democrats’ Blueprint for the Rest of America
Epoch Times ^ | 5/29/23 | Katie Spence

Colorado’s legislative session is 120 consecutive days long and during the 2023 session lawmakers introduced 617 bills. Of those, 218 passed and have been signed into law by Democratic Gov. Jared Polis. More are waiting to be signed.

Democrats have a historic majority in the Colorado House, a supermajority in the Senate, and control the governorship. As such, all bills passed with Democrat support—and more often than not, over Republican’s vehement objections. It’s a marked change from 2002 when the GOP dominated politics in Colorado.

Colorado Republican Rep. Stephanie Luck is one of a handful of Colorado Representatives fighting back and trying to expose what she describes as Democrats’ Marxist agenda, where individual rights don’t matter, and the government controls every aspect of life.

They’ve been a magnet for lefties from California, Texas and other states. The flip was due to migration, primarily from pot legalization. So far, they have maintained mostly ‘non-crazy’ Democrats in the governor’s mansion, but it is a matter of time for a Newsom type incompetent to win an election and then Colorado will fall off a cliff of radical leftwing policies. Then it will look like San Francisco, Portland or Seattle. The future is not bright.

Too late. They’d have to hit bottom first.

Boebert is next. She’s lucky to have won.

Texas is the big Kahuna for them. It’s why they are purposely flooding us with ILLEGALS. Once we are blue it’s all over.

This type of thing is why I’m so negative about the Republican Party, we know what the Democrats will do which they will resort to any tactic necessary to achieve their goals, they are well financed and are Machiavellian in their approach.

The Republicans on the other hand want to play by a rule book and sit around and complain.

I would be willing to bet money, if you looked at the ground level in Colorado, the Democrats have a sophisticated way to registering new voters and getting them to the polls and the Republican Party probably has virtually nothing to fight back with.

You could be talking about FR and still be right.

No surprise as CO has always been an attraction for environmentalist. I’ll bet much of the new population gains here are transplants from CA. Unfortunately, they will ruin CO just like the ruined CA. It’s simply a question of how long it takes.

When the GOP more or less had Virginia, Colorado, Nevada & sometimes New Mexico the presidential elections were so much less of a crap shoot.

Those four states are now gone.

#7: "The Republicans on the other hand want to play by a rule book and sit around and complain."

But first they have to don their white shoes, white belts, Izod shirts, and head over to the country club for a couple of Rob Roy's.

They don’t even complain anymore, they sit around and do nothing.

Freedom Caucus in Illinois is the WORST. Totally useless.

CO cut their own throat, who cares? The key is flipping VA in 2024 with Youngkin on the ticket with Trump, that narrows down the Democrat’s electoral chances so badly it would be like passing a donkey through the eye of a needle.

Agreed. Not great but not the worst of Dem governors. He abandoned Covid crazy faster than other dems. Bad on social issues, obviously. It will get much worse there soon. Next governor or the one after that will be a communist lunatic.

What do you think? One more, perhaps two more election cycles until Texas turns blue?

Ironically what might save Texas is the Tex-Mex population here, they tend to be more conservative than most whites.

I get tired of hearing about stolen elections, selective justice systems, etc...

As I said, we know who the Democrats are and what they are capable of, the only thing that should matter is how Republicans respond, if at all.

We will probably skate this coming cycle, but it’s going to be rough from here on out. We are literally flooded with ILLEGALS. They are inundating our schools, medical facilities, transportation, and JOBS.
