The US could default on its debt in as soon as ten days if Congress doesn't raise the debt ceiling.

Last week, the think-tank Bipartisan Policy Center published an analysis on the federal programs that would be at risk in the first days and months following a default on the nation's debt. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen warned Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy that the US could run out of money to pay its bills as soon as June 1, but even with the severe time crunch, McCarthy and President Joe Biden have yet to reach an agreement on raising the debt ceiling before that deadline.

Let’s start with “Support for Illegal Immigrants” first. Add in the entire Dept of Education. I’d guess about half of Social Security disability payments deserve to disappear. And how about all salaries of people in the White House and Congress - ALL of them, until it is resolved.

As Rush often pointed out, the only way that the USA would ‘default’ on a payment would be to purposefully NOT PAY THAT INDIVIDUAL BILL. So much $$-money-$$ comes into the Federal coffers each month that we can easily pay the interest on the debt. DemocRATS/Drive-By Media use this ploy over and over to increase spending, and could care less about anyone other than themselves.
I guess all illegal Immigrants also get a pass. They have choices but it looks like screw the tax payers season is here. Got to take care of the future Democrat voters.
