New York carrying 'entire burden' of border crisis as Eric Adams refuses to hold public hearings on where illegal immigrants will be housed

The city of New York has been struggling to contain the mass influx of illegal immigrants that are overwhelming the city's limited resources, and Mayor Eric Adams (D) is not being transparent on where they will be housed as he refuses to hold a public hearing on the issue.

On Tuesday, Mayor Adams said that the crisis at the US-Mexico border caused by the Biden administration's lax immigration policies has had a significant impact on the city of New York, calling it a "burden" for New Yorkers, Fox News reports.

"We are carrying this entire burden. This national problem is being laid in the lap of New Yorkers," Adams told Fox 5 New York on Tuesday.

I suspect the borders towns such as El Paso would beg to differ. Those town have been carrying this burden for years and it has increased to disastrous levels since Biden was installed in the White House. New York has received only a few hundred illegal aliens. Border cities are over-run with tens of thousands. The financial burden, crime, and stress on public services and health care has been astronomical.

Rikers was just closed last year, but now needs have changed.

Nothing is more depressing that a black sanctuary city mayor whining about carrying the entire burden of the illegal alien invasion. He needs to think more positively and come up with solutions to enhance the illegals NYC experience. Many of these illegals have traveled thousands of miles to get the NYC experience and feel insulted by Mayor Adams stand offish attitude. Get with it Eric and embrace these new Democratic voters.
