South Carolina Republicans still favor Donald Trump to be their nominee in 2024 by a margin of 21 percent – with two politicians from the Palmetto State coming in third and fourth place behind the former president and Florida's governor Ron Desantis.
Presidential hopeful Nikki Haley, once governor of South Carolina and former Ambassador to the United Nations under Trump, earned 18 percent in the latest Winthrop University poll taken among the state's GOP primary voters.
Meanwhile, current South Carolina Senator Tim Scott's announcement Wednesday that he's taking the next step toward a bid for president coincided with the release of the poll showing him in fourth place with only 7 percent support among voters in his own state.

Trump is enjoying the martyr’s syndrome. Not that there’s anything wrong with that :)

Scott solidified his RINO credentials by supporting Lisa Murkowski in Alaska, over her great conservative opponent.
Tim was just having his strings pulled by Lindsey Graham and Mitch McConnell, as usual.

NIKKI HALEY IS NOT ELIGIBLE TO BE PRESIDENT
SHE IS AN ANCHOR BABY-—NO MORE THAN THAT
To: knighthawk; All
Pompeo should be near the top of the stack. Niki Haley is nothing more than opportunist. Pence is an empty-suit, moron.

I believe when all is said and done, Pompeo will be the nominee. And don’t start with the CIA cr**...Trump appointed him to the position...and it was very brief...and you people think he had some powers that he didn’t have. Being the head of a political organization like the CIA doesn’t mean you snap your fingers...and poof...it’s all you want it to be.

I look at 76 yo Trump and hear Jennifer Hudson belting out “And I am telling yoooouu . I ain’t goin’” He’s so egotistical he’d rather “tear the temple down” (i.e. lose bigly) than allow a younger R like Desantis to get the nomination. That’s what having billions of buckaroos will do to even a stable person.

Why the lecture. Pompeo is my number one choice after Trump. Is that not good enough for you? Trump, Pompeo, DeSantis. The rest are far behind.
