I wish we had 49 more Ron DeSantis governors in this country.

Good, not as good as it should be, but it’s a foundation for improvement in the future.

At the same time, the lunatics in Maryland are in a hissy fit with SCOTUS and are shoving a litany of 2A infringements down our throats.

I have mixed feelings on this.

What do we do with scumbags that shouldn’t have a firearm, that are carrying them concealed? Is now legal for them to carry concealed until they commit a crime with the firearm?

I’m a Trump supporter and I happen to agree with you.

Of course, I hope Ron DeSantis continues to be the superb conservative governor of Florida for as long as he possibly can. ;-)

So it’s okay now to have a pistol under your seat in your car? In Florida?

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Shoot outs at publix, blood in the streets, fender bender gun battles. Will the antis roll that out again?

This should be Federal Law...as it was in the beginning...It’s called the right to bear arms.

The law does not change who is legally able to carry a firearm. the law does not change where a firearm can be carried.

It just does away with the requirement that you have to have a permission slip from the government to carry. So, it does open up a lot of law abiding people, who never bothered to get a permit, to legal carry. A prohibited person still cannot legally carry.

You have 2 kids. Constantly fighting. Punish both because you can’t control one.

I understand it’s a gut wrenching choice but we cannot allow government to control the good one carrying a gun.

Any scumbag without a felony record can carry concealed. How is one supposed to screen for ‘scumbags’? What other Constitutional rights should they be denied?

I understand your point. But it’s important to remember that to the left, we are all ‘scumbags’ by our very natures and beliefs.

Good move by Florida. It goes a long way toward taking away the one sided advantage that armed criminals have. Harder for them to guess who is carrying now.

The basic premise acknowledged by the Bill of Rights remains......unless you’re a bad guy.

The argument is moot. Scumbags that shouldn’t have/carry firearms are not interested in constitutional carry. They steal their guns from family, acquaintances, and burglary of total strangers. They will commit crimes irrespective of this development. Furthermore, the federal regulations for purchasing firearms still apply for everyone, including the above, who don’t follow the rules anyway.

The only upside of this is that you and I, law abiding Americans, can now carry concealed in Florida to protect family, property, and ourselves from the scumbags.

So I assume that a FL CCW permit is a good idea for travel through states that don’t have “Constitutional Carry”, but have reciprocity with FL for CCW permit carry?
