Yes, the Blob. Oozing out of the Colonial Theater in Phoenixville, Pa. I went to school with the directors son. One day David brought in some pieces of the blob, it reminded me of silly putty, you could roll it up into a small ball it would bounce in a crazy way all over the place. He gave me a piece I wish i had kept it might have been worth a little bit these days. Lol

The producers say that “The Thing that Ate Pensacola” ...or Beloxi, or Galveston... just doesn’t have the same ring. The Thing in the Gulf is going to fester there in the first reel. Maybe gnaw on those small fry to build menace and make folks think it’s contained. Then it’s going to reach around the peninsula in the second reel to make its sneak attack on Miami!
