Miami is NOT on the Gulf Coast, it is on the Atlantic Coast. ;-)
The producers say that “The Thing that Ate Pensacola” ...or Beloxi, or Galveston... just doesn’t have the same ring. The Thing in the Gulf is going to fester there in the first reel. Maybe gnaw on those small fry to build menace and make folks think it’s contained. Then it’s going to reach around the peninsula in the second reel to make its sneak attack on Miami! It’s going to be epic!
