Arizona GOP gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake has filed a petition to transfer her appeal to the Arizona Supreme Court after her election fraud lawsuit was dismissed.
Lake filed the petition Jan. 1.
The state's Maricopa County court last week dismissed eight of Lake's 10 counts. Two of the counts, which involved Election Day ballot printing issues and procedural errors, were brought for a two-day trial that did not go in her favor.
"I am standing up for the people of this state," Lake said on former White House adviser Steve Bannon's "War Room" TV show on the Real America's Voice streaming platform.
Lake has not allegedly widespread voter fraud cost her the election, but argues problems with the state's election system contributed to her narrow loss.
Maricopa Judge Peter Thompson has also rejected a request by Democrat gubernatorial candidate Katie Hobbs, who has been declared the winner of the race, to sanction Lake for the lawsuit. However, he ordered her to reimburse Hobbs for some trial costs, with interest.

It is unprofessional journalism to mention an appeal to the supreme court while failing to also mention that the Supreme Court declines to hear 98% of cases presented to them
They will hear this one. They have no choice.
Otherwise, we know how it ends already
Whatever.
Is that 98% figure true for the Arizona State Supreme Court?
State Supreme Courts are NOT the US Supreme Court!
I was thinking that nothing would be done today within government as it’s the official New Years Day holiday. Good for her.
It’s not “whatever”
ALmost everyone reading the title and article will come away with the false impression that the Supreme Court is about to hear Kari’s case!
But reality is the opposite, it is extremely unlikely they will decide to hear the case presented to it.
The Supreme Court only hears around 2% of the cases presented to it every year.
That’s a rather key fact for a journalist to omit...
You are correct about the US Supreme Fart.
Sorry you are right! I guess new year hangover take longer than i thought
It won’t go anywhere. They counted all the spoiled ballots. Now an audit on processes that are not auditable, might be evidence of fraud.
Whatever.
Supreme Court takes viable cases. They are not in the business of wasting time.
Elections are state business. Hopefully it stays that way. The last thing we need is federal government running the state races.
You got the wrong court!
The election fraud committed is so obvious.
Just the mere fact alone that 25,000 ballots were "found" and counted 2 days after election day with no chain of custody is an outrage.
I'd love to see the McStain RINOs on AZ Supreme Court say that there was no fraud, and then have SCOTUS hear it.
If SCOTUS were to order a new election, it would be a slap in the face to every RINO in the country, and it would set a precedence for Leftist thieves in other states.
Of course, if SCOTUS were to say that literally hundreds of thousands of voters being disenfranchised because 73 "shrink to fit" printer orders at the same time causing the machines to go haywire is "unfortunate" but no re-do of the election, then this country truly has reached the end. 2026 will see machine breakdowns across every blue/purple state.
You are stunningly naive.
Katie Hobbs was giggling during her oath of office and only allowed an AP reporter to cover. She banned the rest of the media.
This woman is completely a puppet and I hope the AZ Supremes do the right thing here.
Yep the AZ SC is where it died in 20 and it’s where it dies now. It’s impossible to prove she would have won if the rat SOS had not sabotaged the machines. If a Republican SOS did this to the machines in a black district they would be in jail right now.
