Zelensky makes surprise visit to besieged eastern city of Bakhmut

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday made an unannounced visit to Bakhmut, a city in eastern Ukraine that has experienced intense Russian shelling for weeks.

Zelensky’s office said the president visited with soldiers fighting to defend the city and presented them with awards.

“The president listened to the commander’s report on the operational situation, logistical support and proposals for further actions,” Zelensky’s office said. “While in the area of hostilities, Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the Ukrainian warriors for their courage, resilience and strength, which they demonstrate while repelling enemy attacks.”

Russia has attempted for weeks to take Bakhmut, which could allow it to advance to other key cities in Donetsk, one of the four regions Moscow annexed in late September.

“Any tiktok dancing videos made?? Asking for a friend.”

LOL, but I have noticed that they don’t seem to have any outdoor pictures of him in Bakhmut, where geo-locating can be used to verify his claim of being there.

I guess outdoor sets are more expensive...

Putin and most of the world saw this former actor and thought he would flee the country the moment bombs started dropping.

It turns out this former comedian has vast depths of courage and resolve.

It is much like Churchill who pre-WWII was a celebrity drunk who when war began became exactly the leader who was needed.

Is it me or am I just imagining that poser has gotten fatter in this Ukraine-depriving, starving war?

Video I saw showed him handing out medals below ground in an industrial building with muffled explosions in the background at one point. It wasn't on the front lines, but it looked legit.

This really low keyed Zelensky’s highly dangerous visit. He didn’t stay in the rear portions of the city but insisted on visiting the very streets where the actual fighting was raging. They didn’t even mention where Zelensky saw a Ukrainian fighter felled by shrapnel in an exposed position with no cover. Completely disregarding his own safety and ignoring the heavy machine gun fire, the valiant Zelensky immediately low crawled out to drag the severely wounded soldier to safety. /sarc?

As the Neocon supporters here, I don’t suck up to Zelensky enough to notice his appearance, but I’m sure they do.

What a load of crap!

What he has is a head full of stupidity and absolutely no concern for getting his people killed, wounded and living in darkness (without electricity/heat) in the dead of winter.

While he is clearly lacking in brain cells, he also is being led by the war-mongers in DC and Europe to slaughter his army.

It's about to get worse for him. Much worse.

No, just handing out medals for valor to his soldiers in a hot war zone.

No, he hasn't. He's gotten leaner and harder.

So he should just do the *right* thing and surrender his entire country to Comrade Putin, and all will be well, correct?

Would you surrender your country to Comrade Putin?

IMO, this RUS/UKR war is just a Western MIC get-well program as well as a diversion from the abysmal job our Pedo-in-Chief is doing. The wag-the-dog equivalent of “Look! SQUIRREL!”

Where is your criticism of Putin, the one who is actually responsible all of the above?

“It turns out this former comedian has vast depths of courage and resolve.”

No, he was told the USA would commit massive amounts of money and run the war for him and all he had to do was strike dramatic poses and never change his clothes. They flooded him with media consultants and propaganda specialists.
They explained to him the wealth and fame that would be provided.

He’s just a whore.

Give him points for having balls! That is a bold move. One that Churchill, FDR or even Stalin never did.

Those kind of posts just don’t seem as possible as they did 10 long months ago.

Cheap cracks that could be made in February and early March of 2022 sound especially childish now.
