This.
It’s ironic that the same government who wants us disarmed has given us more reasons to fear it than criminals.
It is plain as day the crazy moron should have been in a mental institution your nitwit’s released him after he threatened to blow up his mothers house.
El Paso County, home to Colorado Springs and the Club Q shooter, passed a resolution in 2019 opposing ‘red flag’ laws.

Yes, just so. Let’s hope this dope take a “hard look” at your comment, that should clue him in and save some time.
It really is astonishing that there were no charges in that case. Although my impression, from all the terribly written, rather unclear articles I’ve seen, is that there was no actual bomb. But I’m pretty sure that even a false threat about something like that constitutes a crime of some sort.
I remember a letter we got from my kid’s High School right after 9/11/01. It said they were changing their approach to fake bomb scares, etc. that kids might do as a prank. That whereas in the past they might have just used in-school discipline as a punishment, that in light of recent events, etc. from now on they would prosecute such behavior to the full legal extent available.
That whole family sounds very messed up. But all the more reason why the original offense should have been prosecuted.
How about this, Polis. The red flag law is there for political optics. It was never intended to work to stop nutjobs from getting their hands on guns.
Well, that ALSO happened with Chief Israel from the jurisdiction of Marjorie Stoneham Douglas HS. He and the principal and administrators had a “divert from penal system” strategy that intentionally worked to keep troubled teens out of the system. The perp there had almost two dozen police encounters that went unreported to the FBI as I recall. Leftists.
Because, governor, talk is cheap and the “red flag law” is as worthless as the cheap paper it’s printed on.
But why should you care? YOU are protected by armed security at all time, hypocrite.
Did he find the situation queer?
Which goes to show that a state can pass as many ‘red flag’ laws as they want, but if local law enforcement refuses to enforce them there’s little point.
I support him in that.

It may or may not be relevant to this case but there's a collapse of law and order in blue areas. Just take a look at S.F. and NYC the past couple of years. It doesn't matter how many laws are on the books if the district attorney is not going to press charges.
The shooter had no fear of being met with a hail of gunfire because Democrats like Jared Polis made sure the victims were all disarmed.
Because no “red flag” was reported. The guy was not prosecuted for his previous crimes and thus it was legal for him to purchase a firearm. These people want more gun laws but they do not apply the laws currently in place.
True, but the answer is not more laws and expansion of existing laws. Those will only be used against “enemies of the state”, i.e. you and me.
It's harder to get the laws you the really want, if the laws you have, appear to be working"
