Op-Ed: Free food for all? Absolutely. In this age of abundance, it should be a human right ["If some processing plants, distribution warehouses and retailers were owned by government"]

These people are INSANE. Government owning food production/distribution?

My wife was born in Czechoslovakia in 1952. USSR got them in what, 1956? and then invaded in 1968.

She grew up thinking bananas had brown spots all over the skin and that the inside banana was brown, gooey and mushy. THIS is what we would get eventually from this stinking government entrenching itself today.

Eventually it gets to the point where when the government pretends to pay their workers and the workers pretend to work.

So did I and we looked forward to banana bread.

If the government owned the means of food distribution, we’d all starve in a few months.

“Open-to-all” government cafeterias, wow, really evokes positive imagery. Eventually all you’ll get is cold gruel, and you’ll have to wait in line with bums and drug addicts.

Trouble was getting the flour and other ingredients and fuel to run the stove.....not the same... There have always been fresh bananas in the US to my knowledge. It wasn’t so there...

On the collective farms meals are served in cafeterias. Also in the GULAG. This is Collectivism writ large.

Sometimes I read that Christianity is Socialism. Nothing could be further from the truth. Christians believe in voluntarily sharing what they own out of kindness. With Socialism no one owns anything and the government involuntary takes from some to give to others.

This is actually happening more and more today via taxes. As countries in the past have moved from Socialism to communism, this transfer of wealth happens via legal and physical force.

Yeah Chloe, you must be one of my DOGS!

My dogs are the ONLY entities that I know that get FREE HOUSING, FREE FOOD, FREE MEDICAL CARE, FREE TREATS, FREE TRANSPORTATION, PAY NO BILLS, ARE NOT REQUIRED TO WORK, they only bark, whine and say gimme more!

So come on down here Chloe and curl up at my feet so I can scratch you behind your ears!

Dogs are better than Chloe.

They guard the house against intruders and warn me of bears when I am hiking—and they treat me with respect without whining about “racism”, “sexism” or “human hegemony”.

The government already proved that it is INCAPABLE OF RUNNING A WHORE HOUSE.

They tried in Nevada (I think it was the BUNNY RANCH), they failed into BANKRUPTCY!

Someone tell me; HOW DO YOU BANCKRUPT A WHORE HOUSE?

I guess my dogs really do have a job then, they are very protective of me, the farm , my livestock, and they absolutely despise strangers.

I live in a very VERY remote area, response time for the county Sheriff is about 2 hours, my boys and girls are the absolute best protection for everything we have here.

(besides the the lead and FMJ spitters).

The same government that won’t answer my phone calls to their IRS about a refund they were sending me in 2-4 weeks... in July! Still not received. After you listen to their pitch to use their website then their automated “Push 3 if you want to pay your penalty. Push 4 if you want to pay this. Push 5 if you agree to the penalty we’ve assessed you...”

Then when you finally get to the actually phone ringing sound it answers and tells you they are too busy and won’t be answering their phone - please call back another time! Which I’ve done a dozen or more times!

Or the nice lady at the local SS office who couldn’t answer my basic question about a confusing letter I received. But assured me someone would be calling me to clarify it in 1-2 days. This was 10-12 days ago...

THAT GOVERNMENT you want to rely on for your FOOD!?!?!?

Fine if you’re the president or other high ranking bureaucrat. If you’re a peon or pawn figure on starving. Our government IS not reliable OR responsive to its citizens.

How can people be so stupid as to give over control of their lives to a central force? Systems fail, and massive systems fail massively. They can also control or deprive massively.

Rice, beans, flour, gov’t cheese and margarine. A couple of stapled pages on how to cook these.

I would 100% support this as the only form of government "food stamps." Anyone can walk in and get a week's supply. It would sustain life. You want something different? Be creative. Maybe work.

Chloe forgot to include the anti-social parasite laws and the gulags needed to provide “free” food.
