CNN national security analyst Juliette Kayyem said Friday on CNN’s “At This Hour” that no 18-to-25-year-old males should be allowed to have assault weapons.
When asked about President Biden advocating for an assault weapons ban, Kayyem said, “OK, so you first keep trying to ban them. In other words, the political momentum is clearly showing that independents and generation lockdown, who came out in numbers this last election, may continue to come out on this issue. So, they are viewing gun legislation as seriously as pro-gun advocates have been viewing it. So that is what the politics is, and it just took a while to catch up.”

Nor should they vote. :)
Okay… not should anyone under 25 be allowed to vote.
Or drink. Or chase girls.
What a maroon.
Exceptions for veterans under 25.
From now on we'll load up our front lines with journalism majors and script readers....
When I was in my early 20’s I shot everyone in sight. Now I’m in my 60’s I’ve cut back a lot. /s/
It’s funny. As I get older everyone under 30 looks like a teenager.
Amazing, what is different when one turns 26?
These days, not much.
But she brings up an interesting concept that is starting to rear it's ugly head.
Increasing the age of majority from 21 to 25 and the growing coddling of 18-24 year old adults as children with no agency or responsibility for their lives.
Juliette N. Kayyem (born August 16, 1969) is an American former government official and author. She is host of the WGBH podcast The SCIF. She is a national security analyst for CNN and is a weekly guest on Boston Public Radio. She is the Belfer Lecturer in International Security at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Pacific Council on International Policy. She is a former candidate for Governor of Massachusetts and a former Boston Globe columnist, writing about issues of national security and foreign affairs for the op-ed page.
During the blockade of the Ambassador Bridge by truckers in February 2022, Kayyem was accused of promoting vigilantism when she tweeted "The Ambassador Bridge link constitutes 28% of annual trade movement between US and Canada. Slash the tires, empty gas tanks, arrest the drivers, and move the trucks." Addressing the criticism, she denied the accusation, saying, "People have the freedom to protest. Governments have the responsibility to protect public safety. That was what I intended to say."
When I was 18 and had my first car, I looked at the statistics for fatalities per driver by sex and age, and came to the same conclusion about drivers licenses. I know that rental car companies would not rent to people under 25 at one time.
Repeal 19.
The U.S. Army might have something to say about that.

Include the females in that.
The brain is through developing.
Biden just waved his magic wand and ratified an international treaty. The Constitution kind of says he can’t do that and only the senate can ratify a treaty, but I guess we don’t care about that stuff.
Now they want to wave a magic wand and declare that males under 25 can’t own certain firearms.Again, the Constitution kind of says he can’t do that. It seems like a bit of an infringement. But I guess we don’t care about that stuff.
That’s sexist, not to mention stupid.
Young women can be just as violent as young men if the stakes are high enough. Although usually, such women will talk men into doing the actual shooting, while the women watch and gloat.
So the Second Amendment can be limited by rules for carrying and owning guns, hefty fees for registration, limits on types of guns for types and ages of people, and may someday be limited to revolvers with one bullet carried in a shirt pocket like Barney Fife. Assuming no ex lover has turned in a phony red flag alert to spite us.
Ain’t it grand to have our rights protected by the government?
On the other hand, our rights and freedom are granted by God. We can ignore the intentions of our opponents and fight to stay free no matter what they want.
“I Feel Free”-—song by Cream (Eric Clapton and Jack Bruce sang it in 1966).
I feel free
I feel free
I can walk down the street, there’s no one there
Though the pavements are one huge crowd
I feel free
