Red wave after all? GOP winning popular vote by wide margin despite incongruous results

The country may have experienced a red wave after all. It just didn't translate into the electoral outcomes that have historically accompanied major political shifts — and after the initial wave of instant narratives extemporized by pundits on election night, close observers are now just beginning to dig for the reasons underlying the model-shattering disconnect.

Republicans are currently winning the national popular vote for the House in Tuesday's midterm elections by a large margin, according to the latest data from the Cook Political Report.

Specifically, GOP candidates have so far received 50,672,592 votes, or 52.3% of the total ballots cast as of this writing. Democrat candidates, by comparison, have so far received 44,802,597 votes, or 46.2% of the total.

Caution.
Don’t count the talking points before they hatch.
Say it again in a month and this will, at least, be certain.

Probably will end up around +3% after California is done but definitely a good R generic, but unfortunately did not translate to seats. We are going to lose a lot of really close ones.

The division has widened.

Be that as it may, the elections really make sense in a “Targeted” outcome. There appears to be big problems still with elections.

Pretty easy answer:
Dems engineered steals in swing states where they had things already in place. They got pounded in places they thought were safe.

The Red Wave happened. Objective was to win the House FIRST, and mission accomplished. The leftards lost a lot of seats.

Don’t believe the MSM demoralize our wins. They’re just losers.

I just noticed.

They are only reporting less than 100 million votes total.
And only 44 million democrat votes......Where did the other 37.5 million Biden voters go?

Nothing matters except who gets sworn in and then exercises power.

Why is that too bad?

This is more proof (albeit unprovable) of the fix. If republicans are trailing -2 or better they hold or pick up seats because so many dems are concentrated in cities with many more 80 and 90% blow outs. That is how Rs consistently lose the congressional popular vote but still compete for the majority. With generic ballots ranging from 2 to 7+ % percent for the Rs, (there use to be just one primary generic ballot pollster) it should have been a blood bath. This article proves this point. Only plausible explanation is targeted fixing on the D seats that needed and could be saved. Of course the bazillion uncounted and undecided seats in CA can change all this.

Winning the “popular vote” is an excuse democrats use.

like FL where there is an election integrity system in place to avoid steals. Who would have thought that Miami Dade county- a super blue city-flip Red when it elected a GOP governor in 2 decades? If every major city had this system, people will know how many conservative voters there really are.

Too bad all of these GOP voters didn’t turn out in Illinois and Wisconsin. GOP voter turnout was dismal

The polls were whacked like they typically always are before elections.

Even if we do not capture the senate, we will most likely control the house. Snatching the gavel from that lunatic Pelosi in my opinion is a huge win.

We can at least throw a monkey wrench in leftist legislative agenda. Now we move to 2024 to strip them of the senate and gain a larger majority in the house just as it was during Obozo’s days.
