Dorcas Hernández escaped death at the hands of Peru’s vicious Shining Path, who wanted to assassinate her father. Hernandez was twelve years old at the time. Now she’s an American citizen who loves her country and wants to represent Fl. House District 92.
While Hernandez may be running for office in Florida, like many Floridians, it isn’t where she’s from originally. Hernandez was born in La Oroya, Peru, in the Andes mountains. Her parents were both pastors in the Christian missionary Alliance Church. Hernandez told the Florida Jolt that “I grew up in a home where faith and values were very, very strong in our family.”
However, the government of Peru didn’t share those beliefs.
“We had the worst experience with communists and socialists. I grew up in a restricted nation where the government took all our liberties. And the worst was the persecution we faced daily. Hernandez said, referencing her family’s Christian values.

Are there other jobs that you think Christians could hold without violating our duty to God, or should we be strictly limited to work within the Church?
I checked the article; almost got to the end of the story before the author identified the candidate as “joined the Republican party”. How non-partisan.
She seems more American than the average American.

In the Bible, Dorcas (Tabitha) was known for her ‘good works and acts of mercy”. Sounds like this lady is living up to her name. My cousin, Dorcas, does, too.

If Christians hadn’t been involved in politics, we probably wouldn’t have a United States of America. At least not as it was constituted.
Yea, I heard some idiot preaching a sermon recently on that same topic. He was completely ignorant on the role of Christians in our Republic.
When we ignore evil in our midst, we will soon be overcome by that evil.
Because ignorant Christians refuse participate in politics, the arts, journalism etc, Satan has taken his hold. That’s no reason to quit.

She is what America was (and should be) made of. I’m pretty sure lots of folks looked down on my Irish grandfather, too; all the while considering themselves ‘patriots’ and ‘good Christians.

So far no one has dared suggest a plan for the 2 million plus invaders Biden has brought into the US this year alone. But many of them are fleeing socialist hellholes. The Conservative movement in the US needs to start preaching to them about how the ‘Rat Party is using them to destroy the US and turn it into the kind of hellhole they just left.
The best way to stop “illegal immigration” may be to start mobilizing these newcomers as a righteous force against socialism and communism. As long as they are here, make the ‘Rats regret everyone of them. Then the ‘Rats will demand an end to illegal immigration.
