A recent poll found that Hispanic conservatives would favor Republican control of Congress over Democrat control by 56 points, giving the Republicans a 65-point swing in the past decade.
Conservative Hispanics have shifted from lean-Democrat voters to Republican-base voters.
As NBC News reported:
In the merged NBC News/Wall Street Journal polls of 2012, 49% of self-described conservative Latinos said they preferred Democratic control of Congress, versus 40% who wanted Republicans in charge — a 9-point edge for Democrats.
But in our Sept. 2022 NBC News/Telemundo poll, a whopping 73% of conservative Latinos say they prefer Republicans in control of Congress, versus 17% who prefer Democrats — a 56-point advantage for the GOP.
That’s a net 65-point swing in a decade, and it helps to explain how Republicans have cut into Democrats’ lead among Latino voters.

Hispanics rightly take “Latinx” to be an insult. They don’t think they’re “breakfast tacos”. Nor do they think it makes any sense at all to tell young Juan that he can “identify” as Isabella.
Plus everybody saw how rich White Lefties acted up in Maaathah’s Vinyaaaaaahd when they saw a group of 50 hispanics without mops or leaf blowers show up. They shrieked in horror and had the national guard show up and take them away to a military base within hours.
2 or 3 percent maybe
If Republicans were smart and they are not, in the new Contract With America everyone already forgot about, they should have put "We Promise NEVER to use the term LatinX".
That alone would have brought many Hispanics over.

The names don’t do it justice. In fact, I believe Hispanic basically means anyone who migrated from a Spanish speaking country (implied is western hemisphere) but even if that is a lot less off-putting than Latinx it is ridiculous to have such a huge block like that. Going just from Puerto Rico to Cuba what a difference in cultures you have, and then you have central (not gonna call it latin here) America and how things can be so different in Mexico (a very large country) to Costa Rica and Panama. Then, I don’t know how much immigration we’ve had, but how different is Columbia just from it’s neighbor Venezuela?
Many may be Catholic, and implied is being socially conservative, but that’s definitely not a block.
What I have been paying attention to lately is what they are saying. Seems like you can ask about immigration or gun control or certain political figures, but if left open, the concern is about everyday issues that affect everyone just trying to live. Seems to me that inflation is most often brought up. If true, I don’t think bodes well for democrats.
A 2021 Wall Street Journal poll found that if the 2022 United States elections were held immediately, 37% of Hispanic voters would back Republican nominees and 37% would back Democratic nominees, an even split. The poll also found that if the 2024 United States presidential election was held between Joe Biden and Donald Trump, 44% of Hispanics would back Biden and 43% would back Trump.
These numbers were split more among gender, with 56% of Hispanic men and 30% of Hispanic women preferring Trump to Biden. By comparison, 33% of Hispanic men and 55% of Hispanic women prefer Biden to Trump. This marks a significant decline for Democrats from the 2020 election, where Biden won roughly 63% of Hispanic votes.
Ignore the self amused smart azzes.
Dunno, but I sure as hell hope some of them start running for office here in San Antonio. We’ve been captives of the leftist Hispanic mafia (starting with Cisneros and the Castro boys and their communist mom and spreading throughout the city government) for 30 years or more and over 80% of our district court judges are liberal Hispanic women. There are a couple that I respect as judges, having practiced in front of them, but many others got elected with little trial experience and no judicial experience. And the Republican party apparatchiks here don’t help: I was considering running for judge a few years ago and had a meeting with the Republican party chair, Richard Langlois. He said, “You’re just what we’re looking for, a military guy, long history here, Spanish speaker, lots of experience. Let me introduce you to [gave two names I’d never heard of]. I asked who they were and he said, “They’re the kingmakers. If they like you, we’ll support you”. Left such a bad taste in my mouth that I stopped the process.
Cases of banana republic demonRAT ballots filled out by illegal alien tropical banana republic voters trumps everything.
If this trend keeps up, Dems are going to head south and build the border wall themselves.
In their favor, however, are reports that more non-Hispanics are crossing, so hold off on that wall until they see whether these groups lean politically left or right.
That and hard working people hate socialists...
Well one thing is for sure. While the black community will never turn away in masse from the Democrats, it appears the Hispanics hold no such loyalty. The ‘Rat party has to feel like this is some sort of virus, that they have to get under control. From the number or articles in left wing publications and warnings on CNN, etc...it is obviously something they are very concerned about.
I see your point, but in East NM it’s probably 80% of Hispanics are Republican. Old families who had the border move across them.
Our Democrats win bc of the Zuni and a couple of other tribes (not the Apache who are a red block who love guns and oil) and white Californians who have invaded Sante Fe. Also crack heads of all types in Albuquerque, which is a scary dump akin to Detroit.
Hispanics are not going to vote monolithically like Blacks.
The post references "Conservative" Hispanics not Hispanics in general.
I can't understand how a "Conservative" anybody can vote democrat. Then again, there are so-called republicans like Cheney who support democrats.
We are living in strange times!
Great news!
