Gainesville Man threatens store employees with machete

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) -A man from Gainesville is behind bars after threatening Walmart employees with a machete.
Davon Maurice Jordan, 26, was arrested this weekend at the Walmart at Butler Plaza located on Southwest 42nd street.
Jordan was allegedly yelling inside the store, prompting employees to ask him to leave. When he refused, employees called the authorities and attempted to escort him outside the door.
Jordan then grabbed a machete from a shopping cart and threatened the employees with the weapon.

No. The D- is reserved for a so-called Florida Man story posted today where a speeder admitted the white powder in his cannabis scented pulled over for speeding car was in fact cocaine.
This is more C- territory. Machetes and Walmart is common, but still funny in the right circumstance. We don’t take points off for things that happen in a Chuck E. Cheese or Waffle House. Florida Man also gets points for trolleying it around in his Walmart cart instead of in a scabbard. He loses points for doing nothing more interesting than yelling and refusing to leave.
Keep an eye on Davon Maurice Jordan, though. He has potential.

I lived in an apartment down the road from there at The Trails apartments at SR24 and SW34th street. Of course, there was no Walmart at the time, just open fields.
