Sources told the newsletter Gelles’ first task “is deciding what to do about Chuck Todd, who despite recently signing a two-year extension, as Confider has learned, has baffled many at NBC with how long he’s remained atop the struggling show.”
NBC News White House Correspondent Kristen Welker is rumored to be a possible replacement on Meet the Press, which is the longest-running television show, having debuted in 1947.
“Todd was already demoted once this year when his Meet the Press Daily broadcast on MSNBC was relegated to NBC’s streaming service,” Confider noted. “And earlier this year, with NBC Universal CEO Jeff Shell in attendance, Todd was brutally roasted by Trevor Noah at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. ‘How are you doing?’ the Daily Show host asked Todd. ‘I’d ask a follow-up, but I know you don’t know what those are.'”

Why have this when you have Colbert, Fallon, Noah, et al. doing the same interviews with the same questions and bias on a nightly basis.

I do not like Trevor Noah, but his roast of Todd was absolutely humiliating.
Folks on the political left don’t watch news. They are willfully ignorant at least and enthusiastically stupid at most.
So when the majority of consumers of news have tired of the comedic relief that Chuck Todd has become, they tune out all together. He’s done.
Why not bring in Tim Russet’s idiot son to take over, could he be any worse?????
Russet was usually pretty fair and did a good job, although I would prefer someone like Lawrence Spivak and Martha Rountree. Please clone David Brinkley!!!!!

I foresee a bright future for hack Chuck Todd as a Walmart greeter.
I believe Rush used to refer to his show as “Meet the Depressed”.
And “F. Chuck Todd” LOL
He’d get fired at that job because he only says hello to about 20% of the customers.
And he would pretend the other 80% don’t exist.
Todd is a hack... who doesn’t realize he’s a hack...
Having to listen to Hugh Hewitt regularly try to defend Todd as a “middle of the road journalist” and that other MSBNC woman he has on his show regularly just kills his credibility.
I know you may have personal relatioships with these folks and that you may indeed like them as human beings, but to try to claim they aren’t partisan is nonsense.
And the “Dan Rather-not “fake but accurate” show (or was he cbs?)
How about getting him stuffed with his face turned toward the wall?
