Fox polled Youngkin over McAuliffe by 8 points.
Youngkin won by 2.
There isn't a single poll showing Masters with anything less than a 10 point loss except for two partisan GOP polls that have him losing by 5 points.
The dems are hammering him over his comments on abortion and social security. Cherry picking sound bites to make him appear like a monster. Waiting for him to start hitting Kelly on his voting record.

Harvesting nothwithstanding, in these days of massively expanded mail-in voting, dropboxes, etc., the distinction between “registered voters” and “likely voters” is MUCH, MUCH LESS than it used to be back when people had to actually get off their lazy asses and go stand in line to vote.
This also means that “turnout models” along the lines of big GOP midterm elections like 1994, 2010 or 2014 are not valid anymore. Think more along the lines of 2018, and then ratchet it up even more for 2022 — turnout was huge in 2018 and that was before all these new handy Democrat vote fraud toys like postal voting, mules, etc.
Yes, this is going to be a problem.
MAGA needs more than just the MAGA base turnout to win. They've got to figure out how to get moderates and swing voters as well.

Don’t waste your time with Registered Voter Polls. I did a comparison recently between Registered and Likely Voter polls using data from Real Clear Politics. It was the generic Congressional ballot that I used.
Most polls are Registered because that always makes the Dems look better. Conservative sources, real conservative sources, only poll Likely Voters.
Historically, Likely Voter Polls are the most accurate.
In this case the average point spread between the Rs and the Ds was 7 percentage points better with Likely Voter Polls compared to Registered Voter Polls.
It's moderates and swing voters who need to get their crap together and stop focusing on minutiae.
Tucker just said on his show tonight that if present trends continue, the Democrats will retain the Senate and maybe even the House.
You did manage to find one Fox poll showing a Republican winning. The fact remains they are among the very worst and most biased pollsters in the business today. They are a disgrace to the industry.
They've got to figure out how to recapture all the Democrats who voted twice for Obama and then voted for Trump in 2016, and then how to bring along their friends and relations.
The Democrat-Republican polarity is finished. It's communists vs Americans, and the biggest untapped supply of Americans are registered Democrats.
MAGA has to tell voters that don’t like Trump to notice your gas price went sky high.. and that the border is wide open, and that China is rattling .. and that everything costs more and your taxes are going up...

I live in Arizona, am politically just to the left of Atilla the Hun, and never answer the pollsters when they call. I don’t trust them. I’m sure it is the same with other Conservative Arizonans. We quietly do unexpected things— like vote in person on voting day.
We’ll soon see if that’s even true. The runup to the past two election cycles has been all about how blacks are deserting the dems, but at election time, the dems still take 90% of the black vote.
