Fox News Poll: Kelly holds 8-point lead over Masters in Arizona Senate race
Fox News ^ | August 18, 2022 | Victoria Balara

Republican candidates have some convincing to do among their base, as Democrats hold the early advantage in battleground Arizona.

The latest Fox News Poll of Arizona registered voters finds incumbent Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly with an 8 percentage-point lead over Republican Blake Masters (50% to 42%) in the U.S. Senate race. That’s outside the poll’s margin of error.

Kelly’s support is just shy of his 2020 vote share when he narrowly beat Republican Martha McSally (51.2% to 48.8%).

Kelly’s lead comes from 95% support among Democrats. Masters fails to garner the same party loyalty, as only 82% of Republicans back him, with more than a handful defecting to Kelly (10%).

Voters ages 65 and over (+15) and rural voters (+8), two groups that have leaned more conservative in the past, put their support behind the Democrat. Men (+8) and White evangelical Christians (+49) break for the Republican.

Whites with no college degree, another voting bloc typically associated with the contemporary GOP base, splits: 45% for Kelly, 46% for Masters.

Ok, this is just registered voters, and it's not even Labor Day yet, but why would older and rural voters support that jerk Kelly and that miserable wretch Katie Hobbs?

Fox News has shown itself to be anti-Maga.

Therefore, I suspect these polls showing MAGA candidates losing.

Polls are used to discourage people from voting.

And polls are used to encourage people to vote.

Why poll registered voters, particularly for a mid-term election, other than wanting to present a bias?

Arizona is a Republican state. I’d like to see the breakdown of this “poll”. Did they make only phone calls? Or was it an internet poll?

If the Republicans show up on November 8, the GOP candidate will win.

It might be true but no idea how reliable this poll may be. Arizona is leaning left. But there’s a lot of Hispanics who are turned off by the economic issues and the woke attitude of the Elites in the Democratic Party.

FNC polls are bad but not usually 8 points bad. More like 5. Still early but worthless Mitch pulling funds isn’t going to help.

Registered voters, phooey.

Then again, I think these days everyone votes, whether they want to or not.

The sheep and the goat voters are separating themselves. I wonder how many have prayed about their votes . . . .and not just in Arizona. God owns it all . . . especially our next breath. Decisions have consequences.

Masters was on America’s Voice with Kari Lake a week or so ago.

Kelly speaks like an angry man... AZ needs to clean up their border.. Kelly is old staff...

I come to read the cognitive dissonance. Lots of folk dismissing something because they cannot fathom the information.

Yes it’s early. But this is not an unusual circumstance. Look at PA and GA. And Ohio.

Ignoring the message could be dangerous to the Senate’s health.

Already at 50% - *if* (emphasizing *if*) accurate, Masters could get 100% of the undecided vote and still lose if Kelly’s popularity is not brought down - while simultaneously Masters must improve his own popularity. No undoable, but Masters must more than match Kelly in fundraising and change the narrative of the race. Make Kelly defend his ultra-radical vote to force states to have abortions up to the moment of birth, force Christian medical facilities to perform abortions, etc. would be a good one...that is an 80/20 issue. Cover kids being taken to strip bars to see strippers and adults having them put money down their thongs. Point out the fact the economy has gone into recession. So many issues that the media doesn’t cover that there is almost no public support for.

After what Fox did in the 2020 election, you should be ready to give them a hefty dose of spit.

AZ is still a red state and the returns in the primary showed Masters way out ahead. He will win, especially if the Kari Lake, Mark Finchum federal injunction lawsuit to suspend the machines is put in place.

After all Kemp did against Trump in Georgia... he won the primary...so did the rathensburger (sp).. and it’s hard for me to accept they won legit... surely not.
We have choice of kemp again and abrams.. I won’t vote for either one!!
When we needed kemp to do the right thing... he would not. He is mud to anyone who cares about this state. His refusal is what gave the US Senate to the dems!
