A former Boston Public Schools academic dean who led a double life as a member of the Latin Kings gang and shot a student pleaded guilty to racketeering charges Tuesday, the U.S. District Attorney for Massachusetts announced.

Shaun “Rev” Harrison, 63, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to conduct enterprise affairs through a pattern of racketeering activity, more commonly referred to as RICO conspiracy, in federal court...

In 2015, the DA said, Harrison was hired by BPS as an academic dean at English High School. In that role, Harrison was to act as a mediator between teachers and students, contact families when students struggled, work with at-risk students, and run an anger management program for 10 boys after school...

In March 2015, Harrison came to believe that one of the students selling drugs for him had stolen money from him, no longer wished to sell drugs, and might tell the police about his crimes.

On March 3, 2015, Harrison met with this student at a Mcdonald’s. While walking behind the student, Harrison pulled out a handgun and shot the student in the back of the head at point blank range, the DA said.../p>

The Boston Education system... Obviously, it has some flaws when it hires a Latin Kings gang member to mentor students.

"Diversity Ahead".

Ain't that the truth?

While walking behind the student, Harrison pulled out a handgun and shot the student in the back of the head at point blank range, the DA said

Apparently, the kid lived, and Harrison was ordered to pay $10 million to him. Pffffft. Where's he going to get $10 million?

I why wasn't he charged with attempted murder? Diversity indeed.

So a Boston Public School student is shot in the head, and lived?

Nothing in there to damage?

“In case there was any doubt.”

Well, back in my day all the Latin Kings were, you know, latin. Times change though.

Has anyone checked Boston Latin to see if anyone there is connected to the English Kings?

The Boston Latin School is a public exam school in Boston, Massachusetts, US. It was established on April 23, 1635, making it both the oldest public school in the British America and the oldest existing school in the United States. Its curriculum follows that of the 18th century Latin school movement, which holds the classics to be the basis of an educated mind. Four years of Latin are mandatory for all students who enter the school in the 7th grade, three years for those who enter in the 9th grade.

I went to Portland High School in Portland Maine for one year in the the 1970s. We were told we were the second oldest high school behind Boston Latin. Cometofind out after the internet and wiki that PHS is 21st oldest public high school.

Clearly, he needs to be released on the basis of equity and racial justice. /s
