It's the uncertainty, stupid

On Thursday, hours after a new government report showed that the economy had shrunk for a second straight quarter, Biden rejected the very idea that the country was in a recession. “That doesn’t sound like recession to me,” he said. He then abruptly walked away from the podium and ignored the scores of question tossed at him by the White House press.

It may not sound like a recession to you. But have you asked anyone outside of experts, advisors and your staff what it feels like to the American people?

People are feeling pain and a building fear, even if the media and Biden's administration are clueless about it. This is an important point if you go out there and actually listen to people. Even those well-off enough to avoid the pain so far recognize the frustration and feel the fear. They see that even if it hasn't hit them yet, it won't be long.

It doesn't matter how many explainers you put out there if they're afraid. That's enough.

Economists and academics can debate the definition of what inflation is or what a recession is, but the messaging from the White House is one of denial. The question is how you communicate with people and show empathy. Biden's inability to do this is puzzling.

In American politics one of the most important things you have to do is validate people. You need to meet people where they are and acknowledge their concerns, even if you privately think to yourself they are unfounded. When Bill Clinton said "I feel your pain” he didn't say, "You guys don't understand what's going on." That's why it worked.

Biden has instead embraced the same dismissive attitude that elites often cast toward voters. Otherwise, he would have known better than to let his cabinet go out there and tell people to buy an electric car because gas prices are too high. Othwerwise, he wouldn't be telling people there is no recession when they are clearly feeling or fearing its effects on them.

There is a reason why every new poll that comes out on Biden’s approval ratings seems to show him at a new low. There is a reason 75% of Democratic voters want the party to nominate someone other than him in the 2024 election/ Biden is governing as an elite know-it-all who cares little for the concerns for the people he governs.

Nobody wanted him. That’s because he is an obvious incompetent. That is why the election has to be stolen by fraud.

1.) there is no debate about the definition of recession. 2.) it’s not uncertainty. It is a complete lack of credibility.

If you can’t count on an expected future, you make drastically different economic decisions than you would with reasonable certainty of the future.

It’s the same thing Barry did to drive down the US economy for 8 years: investment, currency, tax, regulatory uncertainty, etc.

Biden is the same jackass he has always been except now w/ dementia added. Why would anyone be puzzled by his clueless, arrogant, dismissive, incompetent, disingenuous ways?

They're not clueless; they just don't givadam.

"Woe to you, O land, when your king is a child, and your princes feast in the morning!" - Ecclesiastes 10:16

We have a leader who is in his second childhood, and a deep state that gorges itself on the American people. God help us.

*** It doesn’t matter how many explainers you put out there if they’re afraid. That’s enough.***

They all knew what fear and uncertainty can do to controlling people with regards to CoVid. There was little many of us could say or do to try to calm people. The media piped in every day the uncertainty, which created that fear.

Now they want us to say we shouldn’t believe our own eyes (and wallets), regarding inflation and recession.

They’ve done this to themselves. You’ve made your bed, Democrats. Now you lie in it.

He was a vicious far left wacko as a senator. Ask Bork and Thomas. He was Ted Kennedy with a strange hairline.

Or, how about: “It’s the stupidity, stupid!”

Only stupidity can touch 7 or 8 major issues confronting the country (try: crime, THE BORDER, the withdrawal from Afgh, the shortages, the cesspool school industry, gas prices, Mt. Molehill [i.e. the 1/6 showtrial], election integrity — just for openers), and turn them all to sewage.

Then watch a human cadaver say, “Pish-tosh! Don’t believe your lyin’ dog-faced pony soldier eyes fool ya!”

THAT is what has people disaffected.

Next case.

The fear and uncertainty Genie was released in late March 2020 when Mike Pence lowered “Two weeks to flatten the curve” and hoisted “30 days to stop the spread”.
