As the Democrats’ prime-time Jan. 6 circus began, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) explained “the real purpose” of their televised hearings: “convincing Americans that conservatives are to blame for the events of that day,” leading to “a repudiation of conservatism and all those who hold conservative values. Democrats want to use the violence of Jan. 6 to stigmatize conservative voices and delegitimize conservative ideals. They’ve even talked—condescendingly, of course—about treating conservatives as ‘cult’ members who need to be deprogrammed.” In service of this goal, they’re not just running a prime-time show trial, but persecuting ordinary Americans who protested that day, and ignoring, of course, the real insurrection – the one they supported.
Last Tuesday, BlazeTV host Steve Deace tweeted a harrowing message from a “January Sixther” that demonstrates how far what is happening regarding Jan. 6 really is from actual justice, and shows that it is all a dirty political game in which Democrats are victimizing decent people in order to prop up their ridiculous and baseless “insurrection” narrative.
“I am a husband and father who has zero criminal history,” this man wrote to Deace, “and I am looking at years in prison AFTER I took a plea. You may ask why would people take a plea if they are innocent? Innocent has nothing to do with this as my lawyer has told over and over again. This is payback. There are only a handful of representatives in DC that care about us. The vast majority couldn’t care less.”
The man explains: “I wasn’t violent, I didn’t break anything, I didn’t steal anything and that doesn’t matter. I lost my 6 figure income, friends, and my family is a wreck. I had the FBI in my home, I was brought before a judge in shackles. And I am a lucky one. I got to remain free till sentencing. So this is the country that I now live in. Where the powerful few can attack an elected president attempting to removing him for 4 years and where elections no longer matter.”
Indeed. Compare the reality of Jan. 6 with what happened in Washington during Donald Trump’s inauguration as president on Jan. 20, 2017. Video taken in Washington on that day “exposes a coordinated attack on the 2017 inauguration of President Donald Trump,” including footage of “anarchists preparing for violent clashes with police (10:22), violent attacks on attendees (2:08), destruction of property (9:50), and the physical premeditated blockades that succeed in preventing voters from attending the Presidential Inauguration (3:29).” Yet amid all this violence, the establishment media pretended that nothing was amiss. No one said a word about people trying to interfere with the peaceful transition of power. The Jan. 20, 2017 rioters were Leftists, and so the establishment media shared their views, and did everything they could to bury what happened on that day.
Yet if you want to talk about an insurrection, Jan. 20, 2017 was much closer to one than anything that happened on Jan. 6, 2021, especially in light of the fact that it was followed by four years of the false charges of Russian Collusion against Trump, complete with a multimillion-dollar investigation and two impeachments over nothing. The ones who really tried to interfere with the peaceful transfer of power, the ones who have been busy working to subvert and control what should be a free electoral process in the United States, are the ones who are shouting the loudest about the Jan. 6 “insurrection,” and destroying the lives of people such as the man who wrote to Steve Deace, in order to have some “insurrectionists” to point to, however poorly they fit the role they have been designated to play.
Jordan nails the real truth: “Today’s Democrat Party is a party of coastal elites who believe they are smarter and more enlightened than their fellow Americans. They set up fact-checkers and disinformation boards because they think Americans are too stupid or too busy to make up their own minds. And when their radical, top-down policies still prove to be unpopular, they move to delegitimize dissenting ideas.”
Indeed. And when the American people had the temerity to elect as president someone who wasn’t from among the approved elites, the Democrats embarked upon a campaign of lies and smears against him that still hasn’t ended, even though he is out of office and those elites are safely back in power. The Jan. 6 hysteria is part of that campaign, as was the far more serious violence of Jan. 20, 2017. You’ll hear much more about one and nothing about the other. And that should tell you all you need to know about the agenda that is being implemented here.
How come we have heard almost nothing from the Republican senators and representatives about the anti-Trump riots in January 2017, the riots of 2020, and the hoaxes and lies spread by the Media-Dem Party throughout Trump’s term, followed by illegal election law changes? Most of them are bending over backwards demanding that we just “move on” from all that. My guess is that most of them actually supported the attempts to remove Trump. I recall that even after Mueller said that there was no “collusion” the Republcian controlled senate continued it’s “investigation into Russian collusion” and even came out and said that Russia had helped Trump win the election.
