Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) is more than 30 points ahead of her closest Republican challengers following the shake-up of the GOP candidate field, according to a new poll.
The poll, conducted by Target Insyght and published by Deadline Detroit, showed Whitmer with a 34-point lead over businessman Kevin Rinke and real estate broker Ryan Kelley, a 36-point lead over chiropractor Garrett Soldano, a 37-point lead over conservative media personality Tudor Dixon, and a 39-point lead over pastor Ralph Rebandt.

I talked with a serious sales professional over breakfast in one of the Delta Crown Rooms at ATL Wednesday morning who moved his family from Ann Arbor to Sarasota about a year ago because of Whitler. He had enough, loves Florida, loves DeSantis. This is a guy who grew up in the Midwest, played football at Michigan.
And heck, I love DeSantis, wish he were my governor instead of Kemp.
Just why.
Yes, he was polling ahead of her.
Being passive about something essential to getting on the ballot was a bad move.

I fully understand there are FReepers beyond my horizon here in SE Michigan but I am in an 85% or more Dem city near several 70% Dem cities. They would vote for a donkey with a blanket on her back that said “Democrat” one one side and “I hate Trump” on the other. Several times (this IS Michigan-—vote early and often.)
A stripped, burned out car on cinder blocks that used to have a “Trump” or “MAGA” bumper sticker would be found if a person had the courage to drive one around my area.
The urge to murder preborn innocent babies under the slogan “women’s reproductive rights” and “no restrictions on abortion rights” seems to be energizing more and more in Michigan to vote Dem.
My viper neighbors can hardly wait.
It’s not that they like her.
It’s that they hate Republicans.
Since there is only her on the Democrat ticket, it only makes sense that she would lead by big numbers against so many Republicans vying to be the Republican candidate. When it is just the two, it will become much closer. This is why I hate polling such as this one.

Given all that is known about Kemp and Raffenburger, the fact that Georgia “republicans” returned BOTH of them to office tells the rest of us EVERYTHING we need to know about Georgia “republican” voters.
The Late Great Rush had a very accurate term for such people. He called them Low Information Voters. Rush stated repeatedly that it is those people the RINO’s and dems count on EVERY Election Cycle.
He stated the Well Informed Conservative voter is not just fighting dems. They are fighting the RINO machine as well.
Rush made it his lives work to improve the Information deficit of the voters.
Given this goal it is obvious he failed badly with Georgia “republicans”.
