Allies are increasingly divided on further heavy-weapons shipments to Kyiv

Cracks are appearing in the Western front against Moscow, with America’s European allies increasingly split over whether to keep shipping more powerful weapons to Ukraine, which some of them fear could prolong the conflict and increase its economic fallout.

These issues came up under Reagan. Think Pershing missiles. No leadership today.

Carter did away with the neutron bomb. Would it have come in handy? Something tells me the 700 destroyed tanks would still be functional, just manned by new crews(Ukraine).

Not to worry, most likely, we'll get those weapons back ...

Or end up in the hands of criminals who bought them for pennies on the dollar from frontline ukie soldiers who were getting one potatoe a day to eat....

How stupid was that?

No reason to give Russia more equipment. They’ve already amassed plenty of Javelins. I wonder how many went to Isis?

A neutron bomb is a nuclear attack. DC and every large city you’ve ever heard of in the US and EU would be nuked. There is no such thing as us nuking them and them not going high order back against us.
And yes, despite pop culture, those subjected to a neutron bomb would know they were indeed nuked in the Kiloton range, but the radiation effect would be that of a bomb ten times as large. It’s not like a fizzle that leaves the city intact as many believe.

And here’s your new tank... and lead lined suit.

Bright.

Here’s hoping for his speedy recovery so he can continue to annoy globalist DC, London, the WEF, and other undesirable elements in the world.

I’m just sayin’ they would not be used because Russia wouldn’t attack.

Ya got me on that one-congrats.

The idea that you could nuke a city to kill the entire population but leave the buildings there to be occupied is absurd. Assume if we unleash that we will be attacked with everything they have including ICBMs. There would be no US military left to occupy that neutron bombed city. It was scary but I think pointless. Maybe if nobody else had nukes it made sense but once we were facing adversaries with them, forget it.

Which is precisely why Liz Truss and her dopey EU counterparts would be open to it.

Just look at the self satisfied smirk on this dolt's face.

This can’t be right. Once Joe took over from Trump, all the divisions between the US and Europe went away and they work hand in hand on everything now.

Cracks? Before the invasion, France and Germany imported 1/4 to 1/3 of their energy consumption from Russia. They are caught in the middle and playing both sides.

Perhaps they should commit to a position and follow through. Trying to to sustain vacillation when lines are being drawn is not going to work.

It’s a display of abject stupidity to suggest somebody might be able to take out 700 Russian tanks with nuclear weapons, and not themselves be incinerated in nuclear fire.

You are thinking of EMP, not the neutron bomb.

In that case, you should be aware that Russia has a battlefield strategy (escalate to deescalate) which includes the use of tactical nukes with the associated gamble that the opponent will not escalate to strategic nukes. That’s why the recent US nuclear posture review recommended that the US increase its stockpile of tactical nukes.
